"One poster in it stated they were glad mass would be given in Latin the same language Christ taught in."

That is almost as funny as all of those who claim that Jesus spoke King James English or insist that He spoke Koine Greek.

However, since Scripture records that Jesus spoke with Romans including the centurion and Pilate are you claiming that He never taught in Latin?

Might want to ask the poster who made the remark, not me —

Lots of words.

"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." 2 Cor. 5:8.

"For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in SIMPLICITY and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward." 2 Cor. 1:12.

There is simplicity in Christ. It does not take thousands of pages of words to express one simple truth: to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

Because the thief made a perfect Act of Contrition.

A "perfect" act? Impossible; he was a sinner. The only perfect act that can be done is done by one who is perfect all in all -- The Lord.

He didn't need to do anything other than what he did: believe.

Interesting read

If you think this garbage is interesting I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you, kid.

Ask the genius who wrote this nonsense where in Scripture one will find the words Bible, Trinity and Incarnation.

Truths are often declared to be lies. By deceivers. The secret is to know the truth. That can be found in God’s Word. There are lots of deceivers in the world, turning God’s truth into lies. The only way to keep from being swept around by every wind of doctrine is to KNOW God’s truth. It’s not found in a building. It’s found in His Word.

Like I said, if you didn’t know the definition of it — look it up on New Advent.

Please educate yourself!

What you have posted does not describe a Perfect Act of Contrition.

Heretic.

The Catholic Church’s word is God’s word. Period. It is the Church founded by Jesus Christ. Every other church was founded by a man. Hopefully, you’ll find the truth.

Apparently not -- when the Roman Catholic Church adds to God's Word and teaches falsehoods that are not in God's Word... then the Roman Catholic Church IS the heresy.

Nice try to make it personal, though.

Blah blah blah.

Yah'shua would have said Yada Yada Yada.

In case you don't know Him;
he is a Jew.
was a Jew and
will always be a Jew.

Where did you get that Bible you love so much? It’s almost idolatry on your part. It’s just a book, people (the Catholic Church) collated things and determined what was in it. Of course, Luther wanted to take out the parts he didn’t like.

Just remember it’s just a book and sinful men determined what was and is in it. It’s just a book.

documents which disagreed with Tradition.

Not if it involves Roman Catholicism; I'll stick to Biblical authority instead.

Thanks anyway.

He probably wouldn’t have said Yada Yada yada unless he spoke Yiddish, and I don’t think he did. Yiddish was much later.

Matt. 5:26,18:34; Luke 12:58-59 – Jesus teaches us, “Come to terms with your opponent or you will be handed over to the judge and thrown into prison. You will not get out until you have paid the last penny.” The word “opponent” (antidiko) is likely<>/b> a reference to the devil (see the same word for devil in 1 Pet. 5:8) who is an accuser against man (c.f. Job 1.6-12; Zech. 3.1; Rev. 12.10), and God is the judge. If we have not adequately dealt with satan and sin in this life, we will be held in a temporary state called a prison, and we won’t get out until we have satisfied our entire debt to God. This “prison” is purgatory where we will not get out until the last penny is paid.

Antidiko

Definition – opponent
an opponent in a suit of law
an adversary, enemy
http://www.searchgodsword.org/lex/grk/view.cgi?number=476

“is likely”? Your doctrine is based on “is likely”?

Till “we have satisfied our entire debt to God”? Are you kidding me?

"But this man, [Jesus] because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did ONCE, when he offered up himself." Hebrews 7:24-27, KJV

Do you not think Christ did a good enough job?

"Not if it involves Roman Catholicism;"

"They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts." - Ephesians 4:18

"In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent." - Acts 17:30

Totally and completely LOST. Blind, deaf, and lost. Who can argue with someone who denies the Word of God, and exactly WHAT it is. This won’t be a good day in your Book of Life, conservativguy. But it may just be the most important day that will brought to your attention one day.
