A new crew has arrived at Moscows space station. The whole world can now see the image of Our Lady of Kazan which had been entrusted to Patriarch Kyrill
Spiritual mission accomplished. Last March, the image of Our Lady of Kazan, which is one of the most venerated Russian Orthodox icons, was donated by the Patriarch of Moscow, Kyrill, to the then director of the Russian Federal Space Agency, Roscosmos, Anatoly Perminov. I hope that the icon will be taken on board the space shuttle that will be launched to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first man in space, the religious leader said, referring to the Soyuz TMA-24 space flight. Shortly afterwards, on 30 March, the shuttle would fly to the International Space Station (ISS), conducted by the mythical Russian cosmonaut and pilot, Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin. The Patriarch made mention of the astronauts, saying: As well as performing their complex and important duties, they will also embark on a spiritual mission with the icon.
As reported by the Asia News agency, on 16 November, while the world was celebrating the arrival of a new crew aboard the ISS and as the astronauts spoke about their experiences, two images were clearly displayed behind them: one of the first man to enter into Space, the Russian cosmonaut, Gagarin, and one of Our Lady of Kazan.

Has the Eucharist ever been in space?
This shows how deeply the Russians have embraced the Orthodox religion and turned their backs on atheistic Communism. It is a great day for all Christians in a time when Christians are facing suffering in many parts of the world.
Amen.
Beautiful
I imagine the Muslims are not too happy about this.
Well, bully for Russia!
I was in Baikonur (Russian launch center in Kazakhstan) last year and visited the church that holds the icon that went into space previously. The church was built about 5 years ago - first Orthodox church ever in Baikonur (they tried to build one for like 20 years but the authorities wouldn’t let it happen). The priests were relatively young and said that the church was well attended (althugh the Russian population of Baikonur is in steady decline).
NASA is now a Muslim outreach program and Russia promotes Christianity in space. Never thought I’d see the day. The article does make a mental image of a dashboard saint on a spacecraft tho!
Don’t worry, when they get around to it, they’ll send a piece of their religion up there too. A bomb belt perhaps?
Islam will never ‘get around to it’. These vermin have been regressing to the sixth century ever since Mohomo died. They will never make it to rocketry.
Wonderful!
Russia - The third Rome?
The biggest difference is their complete lack of PC-based decay. The US has been so infected by this PC propaganda and glorification of stupidity that it's looking more like a terminal disease every day. If I look at any MSM, I want to vomit.
Russia has all the materials and potential to succeed. A true Russian Republic with strong influence by the church could end up as a new world leader.
(Oops, the site is being reconstructed. You'll have to come back in a week. Please remember to do this, it's wonderful and funny.)
In compensation, here's proof that the Roman Catholic Church is ordaining Extraterrestrial Space Aliens as priests:
Was it Our Lady of Fatima who was asking Catholics to pray for the conversion of Russia? Looks like all those millions of prayers over the last 90-some-odd years have been asnwered!
Legends say that in a dark age, when Europe has fallen away from Christ—The Third Rome (Russia) will come and save them for Christ—Orthodox Faith will dominate and the Roman Catholic Church bow to them. Or something like that.
