Urgent Prayer Request (Update post #91, 107, 127)

This is an urgent prayer request for a family who has suffered a tragic event. Last night this family (friends of mine) had their house burn down while they slept. One died, four others are in burn centers (one with burns over 40% of body) and one treated and released. Prayer for speedy recovery and comfort for their loss at Christmas time.

Were they insured (catastrophic medical or the house or belongings?) Did they belong to a church? Do they have any immediate needs we should know about? Don't know anything about insurance. They have a church family (as well as an extended church family) and it is mobilizing to meet their immediate needs. But their greatest need is prayer at this time. Thanks.

Jesus, in your Name I claim healing and peace and comfort to these precious people.
Healing for the indescribable pain in their hearts and in their bodies
The Peace that passes all understanding at this time when this family has lost a loved one in such a horrible way..
and the comfort of the Holy Spirit whom you sent so the righteous would not be alone in times of distress and affliction ..
Be with these people now, provide for them and meet all their needs for a new home and clothes and furniture and medical bills paid..
and surround them with loving Bible believing Christians to help them and to pray with them..

ask to post their story, go to your local bank and knights of columbus,elks etc and get a fund raising drive as well as clothing/stuff drive started, make sure there are follow up stories in the media. People will step up.
When I was in 6th grade I lost everything in a fire. That day clothing and toys were being dropped off, 38 years ago.
The NYP story on the cop that was shot in the face last week already generated over 800k for the 5 kids. This is what communities are for.
