They have already been declared to be constitutional by SCOTUS.

Let me guess, you are a Ron Paul fan aren’t you?

Wow, that is taken completely out of context. Nowhere in the Bible does God command polygamy. Bible verses on marriage, however, only mention ONE HUSBAND AND ONE WIFE.

Matthew 19:4-6
“Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’ ? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”

1 Corinthians 7:1
Now for the matters you wrote about: It is good for a man not to marry. But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband.

1 Timothy 3:2

“A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach.

I can give you more.

“Personally I just don’t get it. Most of the men I know can barley deal with one wife, why would they want more.”

Because the “most” men you likely know treat women as at least an approximate equal, as opposed to a second class servant. Certain men, especially in LDS circles, are tantalized by the idea of multiple sex servants, both here and in the hereafter.

Odd that even in “mainstream” LDS practice (its in the rulebook) that LDS men can be sealed to multiple women. Women? No no no!

Then where do you put it?

I am not sure that i can ever put it into right or wrong because the Bible tells me what right and wrong is and i know it is true because when i get into trouble it is because i have done something the Bible says not to do.

But i can not at all compare it to homosexualism because the Bible says in very plain words that that is an abomination.

There are some scriptures that point to some people that polygamy may be forbidden, but nothing in plain words, of course these people will say that they know that it is forbidding polygamy but i do not know that it is.

Abraham had a wife and she gave him her handmaiden as a concubine,

Jacob had two wives and each of them gave him their handmaidens for concubines, if it had not been exceptable to god i think we would be able to read about it in the scriptures.

The real problem is when men start thinking about their penises and having rights over the the betterment of society and women.

I was there first, that is basically just what i said, so where was i wrong? maybe you read it to fast.

Well, lets see you posted Bible verses and said it may only be wrong for one person not another.

The implication is that polygamy is ok with God.

As if proof mattered to these cultists. You could show them the pictures of the battered children and wives, you could show them the evidence of all the welfare fraud (and it’s lots more than “a few” cases), and they’d still find excuses for this evil behavior.

So if there are unwed mothers, then polygamy should be ok? Sort of like saying, if we let someone off for robbery, then murder should be legal. Makes no sense.

The solution is to end welfare, not have the Government tell consenting adults how to order their lives.

"Polygamy is as old as prostitution, and murder. "

And just about as virtuous.

Then society should...oh wait, society has already spoken about polygamy, and found it unacceptable. And for so many good reasons. Not that they would matter to you—apparently you either belong to or support some of these vile sects that practice this. The women end up being sex slaves, literally bartered and sometimes sold to other men, often at ages under 10. The boys get kicked out on the street so as not to be competition for the drooling old child molesting geezers. This is NO life for civilized people. This is no life for Christians.

The way my wife and I choose to live our lives is none of your business as long as we aren’t directly harming anyone else or using force or fraud.

You and your Nanny State busybody friends are wrong and you always will be. End the Welfare State and 90% of the crap you claim to be so concerned about goes away.

The rest of your incoherent ramblings are childish and silly. And for the record, we are not Mormons.

If you want to live like a barbarian, maybe you should go live in some country that allows it, like maybe Iran. You’d fit right in.
