This is a vanity request instead of a news citation and I don't know if I'm posting amiss but I'm giving it my best guess on how to approach this.
I had a stroke about eighteen months ago that left me partially paralyzed and mentally impaired also. I seem to have an OK ability to write though. My writing shortcomings though have led to this request for aid.
I've lived a fairly unusual if not bizarre life that has given me an unusual Christian testimony. For years I felt constant prodding to share. I was hesitant to write it though, in that I felt that the strangeness of it all would do more to discredit the gospel in the eyes of an unbeliever that convince them that Jesus is Lord.
A friend gave me the profound advice to go ahead and just do it and not worry how it will be received. The key words my friend shared were
"It's not your Gospel, It's Jesus' Gospel"
Armed with that bit of wisdom and a year of solo, brain-damaged effort, it's essentially done. I still find typos occasionally but I've put it out there. It's free at www.absolute-truth.org and nearly free on Amazon kindle and amazon. If they ever send me a check, I'll send the money to AsiaHarvest.org.
Here is the bottom line of my request, as I put on the jacket:
"Within the book are essays that challenge common misconceptions that skeptics and Christians share."
Those essays are dynamite but I feel poorly done. There is the best explanation of the trinity I've ever seen but I was floundering terribly writing it. If you can understand it, hopefully you can say it better to win souls for Jesus. Likewise what I share about the Hashem or name of God goes counter to 3500 years of Hebrew scholarship and I know nothing beyond English.
The recurring theme through all is God's love and Grace.
That God used a brain-damaged old man to reveal some things that have troubled people for years makes me feel like Gideon. God wanted to make sure He got credit for winning the battle. There is a battle underway for men's hearts and minds. How do YOU drink from a stream? BTW
If you're apologeticly inclined, please wade through what I've written, understand it, and do a better job.
?Your link seems to be related more to recycling than apologetics?
That is what my friend was saying. Just say how you came to to the Lord. That is what I did. Nothing was never just straightforward for me though
I’ve read part of it. Pretty interesting and well written.
Looking forward to the rest.
