I do it by speaking the TRUTH in LOVE. I have asked and begged even. I do it by my actions, by setting the example, by praying.
If you haven’t figured it out by now, screaming at people that they are going to hell if they don’t believe in Christ, especially if they have no understanding of Christ in a real way is not effective. Like lambs, they must be brought gently into the herd. Yes, Everyone has seen God by his works, but some need the hand of a believers to guide them there.

Problem is they never saw the plates - their ‘story’ relates to visions. Why have ‘visions’ Norm, if there were real plates in existence

An unanswered question that reverberates thru the generations

no one is SCREAMING, and they ‘believe’ in a FALSE ‘christ’.

Now then; what is YOUR way to deliver them from deception?

I should have explained myself better.

The fact that the word ‘vision’ is used does not invalidate anything. A vision from God is a blessing, and a means by which God communicates on important occasions.

Oliver Cowdery, Martin Harris, and David Whitmer received a sure knowledge that the Book of Mormon is true by revelation from God. They saw the angel, saw the plates and heard the voice of God command them to bear testimony of what they had seen.

They each maintained this testimony even when they were out of harmony with Joseph Smith. Their testimony is a proof that God has provided to the world of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon.

In addition, there is also the testimony of the Holy Spirit that can reveal to an individual that the Book of Mormon is true — which is how I know.

Best,

Normandy

The Tanner’s wrote (I think it was them) about the size of the book which was about the size of a car battery and that much gold would have weighed several hundred pounds. Then of course we have the three different versions of how it was translated.

Yes, words mean things Norm and in the word usage and context these witnesses used makes it clear that they did not see the phyiscal plates which were buried in the barn (according to legend). Seeing something as "through a mountain" is not seeing something tangible Norm, and their alledged vision is not proof of anything. Visions could have resulted in consuming hallucinating materials - common in occultic folk magic circles of the era, or completely made up. Since they never saw the same thing at the same time, there is little to rely upon. Smith could have used the power of suggestion they thought they saw something. This is exactly what Joseph and the money diggers did. They saw treasure in their minds, convinced themselves it was real and then actually tried to dig it up.

Again, smith never used the plates anyway when he was writing the bom.

If the bom is true - where are the warehouses full of relics they would have left behind Norm. Why 3000+ changes to the bom over time ABSENT the plates to refer to? A subjective revelation is countered by objective evidence and facts Norm. The heart is deceptive Norm. They each maintained this testimony even when they were out of harmony with Joseph Smith. Their testimony is a proof that God has provided to the world of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon.

Harris' "testimony" to the end was that he had seen the plates in "a state of entrancement." Words mean thing - he did not see physical, tangible plates - his own words.

Whitmer made the following well-documented statement:
"If you believe my testimony to the Book of Mormon; if you believe that God spake to us three witnesses by his own voice, then I tell you that in June, 1838, God spake to me again by his own voice from the heavens, and told me to 'separate myself from among the Latter-day Saints'... "[Address to all believers in Christ, p27, 1887.]

He even testified to the truth of "Roll and Book", a Shaker document.

There is the testimony of the Holy Spirit as well as the BIBLE, that can reveal to an individual that the Book of Mormon is FALSE — which is how I know.

Nothing new under the sun.

Just in the last few days I saw 'psychics', 3 of them, 'looking' for gold on the National Geographic channel. http://shop.nationalgeographic.com/ngs/product/dvds/adventure-and-exploration/psychic-gold-hunt-dvd-r One even had a metal detector. Nope; no gold - although they 'saw' something, but never could FIND anything!
