They may be outraged now, but the American Catholic Church has been forging alliances with the secular state on social issues for too many years. Now, the Bishops who promoted and shilled for ObamaCare look like schmucks.

i agree with you 100%. But even Carol Keehan has been alarmed at the withdrawal of the conscience clause, Kmiec is UNREPENTANT on this and sees no problem with it at all. i want him held to account for his support of Obama!

I just read a letter from Kmeic yesterday where he was imploring his good buddy Obama to re-think his position on HHS.
Not quite aware yet, but perhaps stirring to the enormity (yes, that’s the right word here) of what he has done.
He is very close to losing my vote for not obeying the Bible and the Church on the way you treat Bishops.
1. Go to them privately
2. Go with someone else to speak with them privately
3. Talk with your priest about it. (privately)
4. Then talk to your Bishops.
What he did was rude and uncalled for.
I hope Obama stonewalls the bishops on this.
The voters aren’t all stupid. Clearly Obama is picking and choosing the religions that get exemptions and the ones that don’t. This issue just might bring Obama down.

I’ve never seen clearer cut cases worthy of excommunication than Biden and Pelosi. The Bishops already visited Obama and had a deal, and then he reneged.
Now they are on the outside looking in, have lost their moral authority on the matter for the same reason why the USG has lost the public on bailouts - nobody’s paid any of the consequences.
Nobody’s gone to jail.
Even if the administration backs down, why should the Bishops trust them?
All Santorum did here was tell the truth. The Catholics are backing down to Obama the same way John XXIII backed down to Hitler. Last Pope with stones was JPII, who helped Thacher and Reagan bring down the USSR.
This is the same crew that shuffled pedophiles back and forth while their moral authority burned to the ground.

In my mind the Catholic Bishops have lost all moral authority ... tolerating and fascilitating child sex abuse for decades is unforgivable....
