I see you have not addressed the numerous challenges to your post. Either elaborate or take it back.

**Probably 38% would pan it because they are the Liberal base, so 6% in addition to them see negatives.**

You mean there are liberal Baptists just like there are liberal Catholics? LOL!

Dr.Rogers played a HUGE part in getting the Evangelical vote out for Ronald Reagan.

My thoughts as well, when we were taking a short cut through Bellvue today.

I miss him, too. He was my pastor. My last conversation with him was in the church courtyard the day my daughter was baptized. He hugged me and prayed the sweetest prayer for her. He died a few months later. In private he was same man he appeared to be from afar.

Do you remember hearing him talk about his time talking and praying with Ronald Reagan? I really wish I had a copy of his comments.

Sad to say there are. Megamillionaire author/ambulance chaser with a last name that rhymes with Disham is one. They believe it’s ok to murder a baby but a sin to baptize it. ;)

You are right about John Grisham, but wrong about believing infant baptism is a sin.

Not a sin, just not scriptural, Grisham was a different person when he was practicing law in a little shared brick building on Stateline Rd. in Southaven, Miss.

Check with Love Worth Finding they might be able to help.

We used to attend Bellvue, but go Faith Baptist now, it just wasn’t the same.

“The Southern Baptist Convention is not Christian.”

You’ve been asked numerous times to back up your statement.

You can’t...

“Any name change would have to be approved at the SBC’s annual conventions the next two years.”

We have time.

“Although 53 percent of respondents overall had a favorable view of the Southern Baptists, the high negatives are a concern for a denomination in which spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a fundamental to their faith.”

Since when did polling enter into things?

Do Catholics poll their negatives, and consider changing the name of their church? Do Jews?

If they actually kneel before the polling gods, we are headed into a very dark place.

Your late grandpa didn’t know many Southern Baptists.

We don’t wash anyone’s feet, except our own.

Thank goodness we do that, though. lol

“Megamillionaire author/ambulance chaser with a last name that rhymes with Disham is one. “

John Grisham is an embarrassment not only to Southern Baptists, but to Mississippi as a whole.

If you miss Adrian Rogers, and claim to be Southern Baptist, then why are you a Calvinist?
