I bought a star named for my step-father’s deceased son. It was neato, cool, boss and groovy.

This is different. The LDS has said they will not perform these ceremonies in deference to the wishes of the Jewish people. Obviously the Mormons have no respect for the wishes of the Jews.

Mormons are spitting on the graves of the Jewish holocaust victims.

Mormons Nazis

Mormon authors Alan F. Keele and Douglas F. Tobler, in "The Führer's New Clothes," wrote,
"Hitler enjoyed at least as much popularity among German Mormons
as he did among the population in general. His apparent dynamism and self-confidence seemed
to show a way out of the chaos and weakness of the Weimar years...
Some Church members even saw Hitler as God's instrument,
preparing the world for the millennium." The Borks, above,
were among thousands of Mormon families who sent their sons
to fight for the Reich. The vital importance of "Aryan" ancestry
gave new significance to genealogical research, the writers
added in their Sunstone article. "And the Führer himself,
the non-smoking, non-drinking vegetarian who yielded
to no one in his desire for absolute law and order, seemed
to embody many of the most basic LDS virtues."

It was clear, the authors emphasized, that the Church's priority
was to maintain its strength and continue to make converts under the Third Reich.
It actually launched a public relations campaign to reassure
Germany of its fealty. Indeed, an article written for a special issue
of the Nazi Party organ Der Volkische Beobachter by the LDS Mission President
to West Germany, Alfred C. Rees, "abounds in such loaded terms as Volk
and Rasse (race), and a picture of Brigham Young bears the caption,
'Führer der historischen Mormonenpioniere.' Very disturbing
is the way President Rees blatantly parallels Mormonism with
Nazism…Mormonism sounds like a fulfillment of Nazi teachings."

LDS Temple Ordinance records indicate that Adolf Hitler was
"baptized" and "endowed" on December 10, 1993, and "sealed"
to his parents on March 12, 1994. These events took place
in the London Temple, in England. Hitler was "sealed" to Eva Braun
on September 28, 1993, in the Jordan River Temple, Utah, and
on June 14, 1994, in the Los Angeles Temple. According to the
Church, these names -- and the names of other high-ranking
Nazi officials and of Mussolini -- have been removed from the registry.
The issue of Mormons posthumously baptizing Jewish people into the
Church continues to resurface regularly.

There appears to have been considerable support for Hitler
within the Mormon cult.... and even substantial collaboration."

I had a housemate (back in college) that was into the New Age crap. She was an older gal, and was talking about how she, with her “dream guide” had entered my dreams.

I think it is mostly stupid, but there have been times where I’ve seen similar weird stuff that I believe. To be on the safe side I told her “Don’t you EVER go into my dreams again.”

I would treat these Mormon’s converting the dead thing the same way. What is that verse in the Bible, about being at war not with earthly things but with spirits? And while it seems clear that Smith just made it up, I think that Satan is just fine with using whatever a man can think up and use it for his own ends.

Of course I guess when one is dead you are either with God or you aren’t - and no amount of praying (or voodoo rituals, etc.) is going to change that. “Let the dead take care of their own.”

Baptism for the dead is usually performed by Mormon youths between the ages of twelve and eighteen. Dressed in white clothes, the youth enters the baptismal font and stands upright. Using his (her) left hand, he (she) grasps his (her) own right wrist, and uses the fingers of the right hand to hold the nose shut while being immersed. The person performing the baptism stands at the left side of the youth and grasps the youth’s right hand with his left hand. He then raises his right arm to an angle of ninety degrees ands repeats the baptismal prayer. Following the prayer, he places his right hand on the youth’s back and supports him (her) during immersion, raising the youth quickly out of the water to an upright position again, when the ceremony is repeated several more times on behalf of other deceased persons.

Brother _______, having been commissioned of Jesus Christ, I baptize you, for and in behalf of _______, who is dead, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.

CONFIRMATION OF THE DEAD

Following baptism, the deceased must be confirmed a member of the Mormon Church. This ceremony does not have to be performed by the same proxy by the baptism, and usually isn’t. The proxy sits in a chair, and two Mormon Elders place their hands on the proxy’s head, and repeat the following, for each deceased person.

Brother _______, in the name of Jesus Christ, we lay our hands upon your head, for and in behalf of _______, who is dead, and confirm you a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and say unto you, Receive the Holy Ghost. Amen.

RECONFIRMATION

This ceremony restores temple blessings lost through excommunication or by one’s name having been removed from the records of the Church.

Brother _______, in the name of Jesus Christ, we lay our hands upon your head [for and in behalf of _______, who is dead], and confirm you a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and say unto you, Receive the Holy Ghost, and confirm upon you all your former Church and Temple blessings. Amen.

ORDINATION OF THE DEAD

This ceremony gives the Priesthood to the deceased.

Brother _______, having authority, we lay our hands upon your head, and confer upon you the Melchizedek Priesthood and ordain you an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for and in behalf of _______, who is dead, and seal upon you every grace, gift and authority appertaining to this office in the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood, for and in his behalf, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

It’s a pretty safe bet that none of the Bork family members in the photo or their descendants still live in Stettin.

Mormons are supposed to submit only the names of their ancestors.

What a sleazy thing to do. I can tell you that I sure don't want any of my heirs who get involved with this insanity to posthumously baptize me. This seems like low level gutter stuff trying to claim people of other faiths without their consent.

I learned of a “Church” where they had the revelation that EVERYTHING Jesus Christ said was mistranslated, and the opposite is really the truth. I kid you not! I can’t think of the name...Broderhous?

Mormons are followers of the “law.” They staunchly believe in keeping the “Sabbath” Holy, but their sabbath is on Sunday. There are foods, coffee and tea they are forbidden from partaking .... and all the Mormon men in my life are already circumcised.

Perhaps we could add the Mormon dead to the list of German Nazi’s and see how they like it....maybe include a nice picture for posterity sake.

Why would we want ‘em?

It’s funny that, despite so much Jew-hatred, everyone tries to use Jewish scripture and theology to justify their own religions.

OK,riddle me this

According to mormon apologists - this just gives them an opportunity to accept mormonism in the afterlife.

Yet according to the article, they are marked down on church rolls as being a ‘confirmed’ member.

Sounds like no ‘choice’ involved - or am I missing something.

How many times have the Mormons said they were going to quit doing this sort of thing?

Seventy times seven times.
