I don’t like all the Mormon bashing. I really don’t much care what Mormons believe, and I’ve pretty much liked all the Mormons I’ve met and would have no problem with an LDS president so long as he is actually conservative (Romney is not).
Saying that, if Romney is the nominee, his religion will be a huge issue. Anyone saying otherwise is full of it. The Mormon faith will be torn apart, made to look like a loony cult, called racist, etc. I know a lot of Mormons are excited about one of their own perhaps being the nominee, but be careful what you wish for. Things are going to get really nasty.
Am I in before the White Horse? That too is an obvious racist element of Mormon teaching. Why not a Black Horse Prophecy?
Why can’t be Mormons be as tolerant as the Baptists?
Southern Baptist Convention Set to Elect First Black President?
The Southern Baptist Convention, which has long dealt with issues of race since splitting in 1845 with Northern Baptists over the right to hold slaves, has grown to accept a diverse array of cultures within its congregation. Once an all-white membership, nearly 20 percent of its current congregation nationwide now is composed of minorities. Until now, however, it has never had an African-American president Luter himself was the first ever African-American first vice-president of the denomination, appointed in June 2011.
If you are a person of faith, you should care what mormonism is, if not then you are correct it doesn’t matter.
Romney is who he is because of his mormonism not in spite of it, before you quasi defend mormonism you should learn about it.
My lds family believe that Romney is the fulfillment of the white horse prophesy.
Romney has been groomed to complete the prophesy.
On this issue in this article, I can vision Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson waiting in the wings, ready to pounce. Don't doubt that.
The Democrats and their ilk are ruthless, they need Religion and Sex issues in order to divide Republicans, and scare the ill informed idiot voters, especially emotional women. Works every time.
I am so thankful for these threads that are exposing the ISM of mormonism.
