CORDOVA, Tenn. (ABP) A Catholic presidential candidate received a prayer of blessing from a Southern Baptist mega-church during a campaign visit to Memphis.
Steve Gaines, pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, Tenn., invited GOP hopeful Rick Santorum to the platform for prayer during the churchs 9:20 a.m. worship service March 4.
Lord, give us the president we need, but Lord we also know that our troubles as a nation are beyond what the White House alone can help us with, Gaines prayed. He sought Gods forgiveness for sins including racism, abortion and sins of immorality.

Exactly. All this division. The inability for many to see the truth. Somethings going on. Obama is serving some purpose, and I don't think he will be dislodged.

I just pray that Newt and Rick can get together tomorrow and decide who should go on to stop Romney—it's getting too late.

They prayed extra hard in IA, MO, CO, MN, OK, OH, and now in TN.
I pray it keeps working out as His will be done.

That's why I won't be whining and crying if Obama wins reelection. If he does it will be because God allows it and has a reason even if I can't see it.

And, then Santorem went across the street to the Catholic church.
I used to go to Bellvue Baptist in Cordova. I now worship just down the street at another Baptist church, had no idea that Rick was even in town.
