May God grant him a repentant heart that he may find peace and joy in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, especially as we celebrate Jesus’ atonement for our sins this week.It's never too late for any living person to truly (has to be truly) repent. Even someone who has led as despicable a life as this person has.
May we all be reminded of this truth, especially on this "Good Friday", which is only "good" because our Lord IS Good.
It is certainly NOT our "goodness" that can save us; it is only God's. And that is why on this Holy day the Son of God went to the cross, and there took upon Himself the "sins of the world", pouring out His life-blood as Atonement for those sins, so "that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have life everlasting."
May God send His Holy Spirit into the heart and mind of Hugo Chavez--and make of him the "new creation" only this Spirit-given "birth from above" can accomplish!
