I am increasingly convinced that SSPX and similar harbor the unwavering and ever-enduring thread of Catholicism that is the True Church. So it is more a matter of accepting the Vatican back.

That mentality (with which I cannot be more in disagreement) is why I think that SSPX should absolutely NOT, under any circumstances, be reconciled as an organization to the Church. SSPX and its adherents have always, regardless of any canonical niceties, been schismatic at heart, fancying themselves more Catholic than the Pope. If individual members of SSPX wish to reconcile themselves to the Church, they like any others who have left are always welcome to return.

The only problem with your position is you are being Catholic than the Pope to do it? You think the Pope doesn’t know what he is doing. He’s been involved with this for more than 30 years.
