That is an odd conversation to have at dinner.

I wonder if her dad bought his own protection...or did the church provide it in anyway?

When I think about the people closest to me in life, I must say that I have never discussed their birth control methods with them.

I have no idea what family and close friends do about birth control. I would never think to mention, or ask, or bring up the subject of someone’s personal birth control decisions.
