Libya's Destiny ...Islam in Prophecy

And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. Libya is in the news lately for obvious reasons. The popular uprising against the Gaddafi terrorist regime, the savagery of Gaddafi himself, his brutal and very public execution by militia men were put on display for the world to see.

Also publicized was the feckless quality of leadership displayed by the Obama administration, the bungled attempt at coalition building, and the debate as to the wisdom ,not to mention constitutionality of American intervention in the first place all make for an interesting situation.

God has plans for Libya, that are not as fickle as those of the Kings of the earth. Libya is slated to go down to destruction as part of a coalition of nations armed and headed up by Russia and Turkey, and including Iran, Sudan/Somalia , and Ethiopia in a catastrophic war against Israel, that will demonstrate to the world that the LORD is the only true God.

It is beyond interesting, it is distressing that the USA is lending its strength to make war on behalf of Al Qaeda, which is leading the opposition to Gaddafi, in the eastern province of Cyrenaica, a long known hotbed of Islamist fervor. We have aided Al Qaeda before, when we bombed our former allies the Serbs into ceding Kosovo to the Albanian branch of Al Qaeda, under the Clinton administration. Elections have consequences, but then again, God is Sovereign.

Did you notice that I said the eastern province which is resisting Gaddafi in the name of Al Queda is Cyrenaica? Remember Simon of Cyrene? The man who carried Jesus’ cross was from Libya! At one time in the earliest Christian centuries, North Africa was the Christian center of the world. There were several Cyrenians among the first disciples, and at Pentecost.

In our Ezekiel passage, God says to Russia, that He is going to put a hook in his mouth and draw him out, down to the mountains of Israel, for his epic last battle. It is interesting that Vladimir Putin, condemned the Obama coalition for its bombing of Gaddafi’s strongholds, as being a “modern crusade”, words calculated to stir Islamic passions around the world against us.

Persia (Iran) will be part of the coalition bent on destroying Israel. Throughout History, Russia and Persia(Iran) have been bitter enemies. But Russia is now a staunch ally of Iran, her nuclear developer and enabler. Russia plays the devil’s advocate for the terrorist state of Iran, resisting any sanctions against her by the world community. Ominously Russia is also Iran’s chief armourer, just as Ezekiel predicted Russia would be,

Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.(Ezekiel 38:7)

The expression, “be thou a guard unto them” could as easily be rendered, “Be thou an armorer unto them”.

Gaddafi was and is a brutal terrorist. He was not made to pay on this earth for his many brutal crimes, such as the Lockerbie bombing that he ordered in which a plane load of innocent western travelers was blown out of the sky. But God sees and remembers. It is important to realize that God is in all of these events, orchestrating all for his glory.

The battle ends poorly for the coalition, all but one sixth are destroyed in the mountains of Israel, for the Holy God takes an attack on Israel personally,

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them? And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;(Ezekiel 38:17-19)

All of the classic elements of Old Testament warfare by God against pagan invaders comes into play. Lightening, thunder, and hail, as well as the spectacle of the anti-Israel coalition armies turning on each other in murderous confusion.

The Divine goal is that all of the earth will know, and perhaps most importantly, Israel will again know that there is a living God, and the LORD is He.

And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man’s sword shall be against his brother.And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.(Ezekiel 38:21-23)

Madrid Conference of 1991

The Madrid Conference was hosted by the government of Spain and co-sponsored by the USA and the USSR. It convened on October 30, 1991 and lasted for three days. It was an early attempt by the international community to start a peace process through negotiations involving Israel and the Arab countries including Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and the Palestinians. Final Israeli Settlement in Gaza Evacuated

The final Israeli settlement in the Gaza Strip has been evacuated, ending the historic pullout from the area which Israel has controlled since winning it during the Six Day War in 1967. Between 1948 and 1967, Gaza was under Egyptian occupation.

With the Gaza withdrawal all but completed, Israeli troops prepared to leave the coastal strip and hand over control to the Palestinian Authority.

The last settlers and their protester supporters wrapped up a Torah scroll and a large menorah and boarded a fleet of armored buses to leave the area. Israeli troops will soon head to the West Bank to begin the evacuation of the four settlements that are to be evacuated there.

Major General Dan Harel, head of Israel's southern command, declared the evacuation of Gaza over.

Effect of Hurricane Katrina on New Orleans

The effect of Hurricane Katrina on New Orleans, Louisiana was catastrophic and long-lasting. As the center of Katrina passed east of New Orleans on August 29, 2005, winds were in the Category 2 range, and tidal surge was equivalent to about a Category 3 hurricane. Though the most severe portion of Katrina missed the city, the storm surge caused more than 50 breaches in drainage canal levees and also in navigational canal levees and precipitated the worst engineering disaster in US history. By August 31, 2005, eighty percent of New Orleans was flooded, with some parts under 15 feet of water. Most of the city's levees designed and built by the United States Army Corps of Engineers were breached, including the 17th Street Canal levee, the Industrial Canal levee, and the London Avenue Canal floodwall. These breaches are responsible for at least two-thirds of the flooding according to a June 2007 report by the American Society of Civil Engineers. [2]

Ninety percent of the residents of southeast Louisiana were evacuated in the most successful evacuation of a major urban area in the nation's history. Despite this, many remained (mainly the elderly and poor). The Louisiana Superdome was used as a designated 'refuge of last resort' for those who remained in the city. The city flooded due primarily to the failure of the federally built levee system. Many who remained in their homes had to swim for their lives, wade through deep water, or remain trapped in their attics or on their rooftops.

Less than two weeks after Gaza was evacuated (of Jews) New Orleans was hit by hurricane Katrina.

New book reveals military code names

Critics charge it could compromise national security

In a direct challenge to the U.S. government, military analyst Bill Arkin has published 3,000 U.S. code names — many of them 'Top Secret' — along with brief descriptions of the Pentagon or CIA programs they represent.

They are code names like, 'Telephone Booth,' 'Distant Phoenix' and 'Blue Zephyr.'

The former Army intelligence analyst and former senior Greenpeace researcher argues too much national-security information is hidden from the public and classified for political reasons rather than to guard vital secrets.

'It's trivial secrecy. It's bureaucratic secrecy,' says Arkin, who also works as a military analyst for NBC News. 'These are bureaucrats trying to protect their turf. This is not national security. This is government gone wild.'

Among the code names Arkin reveals:

· West Wing: Two remote air bases in Jordan used for invading Iraq and now for clandestine military counter-terror operations in the Middle East.

· Oplan 4305: Contingency plan for the defense of Israel. Arkin also says the U.S. has quietly pre-positioned munitions and equipment on Israeli soil.

· Conplan 8022: Top-secret pre-emptive plans to take out nuclear facilities and other threats in Iran, Syria and North Korea.

'The American public needs to understand that when the President of the United States speaks about Iran, it's not just rhetoric,' says Arkin.

United States Delivers Massive New Weapons Shipment to Israel, Confirmed by Pentagon, Says Amnesty International

(New York) -- Amnesty International today revealed that the United States has sent a massive new shipment of arms to Israel -- about 14,000 tons worth -- despite evidence that U.S. weapons were misused against civilians in the Gaza attacks. The unloading of the shipment in Israel was confirmed by the Pentagon. The human rights organization called on President Obama to suspend future arms shipments to Israel until there is no longer substantial risk of human rights violations.

Amnesty International said the Wehr Elbe, a German cargo ship, which was chartered and controlled by the U.S Military Sealift Command, docked and unloaded its cargo on March 22 at the Israeli port of Ashdod, about 25 miles north of Gaza.

The Pentagon confirmed the successful unloading of the ship, which left the United States for Israel last December 20, a week before the start of Israel's attacks on Gaza. Reportedly, the ship carried 989 containers of munitions, each of them 20 feet long with a total estimated net weight of 14,000 tons.

"Legally and morally, this U.S. arms shipment should have been halted by the Obama administration given the evidence of war crimes resulting from military equipment and munitions of this kind used by the Israeli forces," said Brian Wood, arms control campaign manager for Amnesty International. "Arms supplies in these circumstances are contrary to provisions in U.S. law."

It seems that Bibi and Barry are best of friends again. Operation Austere Challenger 2012, the joint Israeli/US military "exercises", which were cancelled following a spat between Presidents Netanyahu and Obama, have been rescheduled for October.

Operation Austere Challenge 2012 will be the largest joint Israel/US military exercises in history. The exercises will involve 3000 troops, as well as the deployment of the United States' Theater High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile system and the ship-based Aegis system. Israel’s own Arrow, Patriot and Iron Dome missile systems will work in cooperation with their US counterparts.

It shall be called the Valley of Gog's Multitude. 12 The House of Israel shall spend seven months burying them, in order to cleanse the land; 13 all the people of the land shall bury them. The day I manifest My glory shall bring renown to them — declares the Lord GOD. 14 And they shall appoint men to serve permanently, to traverse the land and bury any invaders who remain above ground, in order to cleanse it. The search shall go on for a period of seven months. 15 As those who traverse the country make their rounds, any one of them who sees a human bone shall erect a marker beside it, until the buriers have interred them in the Valley of Gog's Multitude. 16 There shall also be a city named Multitude. And thus the land shall be cleansed.
