"See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ". Col 2:8
I'm not really surprised. People who can claim that the murder of infants is promoting the health of women and children aren't even Cafeteria Catholics, they're just more Protestants interpreting Scripture and doctrine as they see fit at any given moment. The only reason they prefer to call themselves Catholic is due to the fact that there's tradition and history behind the Catholic Church.
It can't be much longer until King Barry seizes all Catholic Church property and announces the new national Church of the US with himself as the first Pope to mimic the Catholic Church and mock Christ. And why not? Henry VIII did it. That's sufficient precedent now that US courts consider international laws and the laws of other nations. If people can interpret the Scriptures to suit themselves, interpreting the Constitution to suit themselves is trivial by comparison.
Besides, since lot of people who claim to be Catholic and put their politics above their religion wouldn't care, why would the 75% of Protestants who have long wanted to destroy the Catholic Church care?
But, they probably aren’t expected to get honest jobs, pay taxes, or perform any meaningful addition to society. Just sit around and pontificate the unjustness and unfairness of the world.
How liberal of you, blaming others for your own fail. Next you will be blaming Bush.
How large a “group”? And what are they doing at a Catholic school?
Sadly, some people equate more education with ‘wisdom’. These kids might have a lot of book learning, but it only seems to have calcified the secular ideas they wish were actually Catholic teaching. It also doesn’t help that their professors are probably largely of the ‘seamless garment’ variety of Catholic.
Denying the facts and calling someone else liberal for acknowledging reality is the oldest trick in the liberal playbook. Of course, since Alynsky just updated and refined what Luther did it's normal to see folks who interpret Scripture for themselves spinning like tops rather than acknowledging the truth..
Stick with the facts - and do not change the subject - you blamed others for your own fail. Period - Take responsibility for that and don’t do the wiggle dance.
ROTFLMAO
It’s always nice to run into people who are not only incapable of understanding simple sentences but are also dedicated to both deception and their own twisted view of the world.
Funny how they just can’t resist personalizing everything, too. Regular readers in this forum recognize such folks and know full well they’re nothing but the tripe left over as a byproduct of the butchering of hogs.
They never should have admitted girls.
I see you still didn’t take responsibility. Just lots of jabber!
These kids have only a rudimentary notion of how laws are actually made, and how they are translated into administrative rules. They cannot see that the most pernicious effect of the law is to empower the secretary to override specific Catholic doctines. But Notre Dame has brought this down on their own heads, and not just by inviting Obama to speak at the University graduation, but by adopting the LandoLakes policy. More than 40 years of increasing secularization is bearing its fruits.

This threat has already emerged with the challenges to the Church’s tax-exempt status; the property taxes alone on a parish’s property would put it in the hands of the municipality very quickly.
Notre Dame has catastrophically failed in educating these students.
1. Their statement might be arguable in the Baptist Church, where belief is a more personal decision, still weak but arguable, but Catholic Church Doctrine is defined by the Church Hierarchy, and it is unambiguous on contraception.
2. Freedom of religion is a God-given right (or for Atheists a natural right), and such rights take absolute precedence over personal desires or conveniences that are in fashion. If Sandra Fluke and her followers want $3,000 worth of condoms each (just how fast can they go through 42,000 condoms?), they can pay for them with their own money or get the men standing in line for their services to pay the usual and customary rates for their own entertainment.
3. Do these people not understand that compelling others to pay for individual instances of what they see as the murder of unborn children qualifies as casus belli? Are they intentionally trying to provoke a second civil war, or are they really that stupid?
Judging from my parish I say the Catholic vote will help to make Obama a 1 term President.
*snicker*
