The marquee night of next week's Republican National Convention will feature testimonials from individuals who worked with Mitt Romney in his local church – the most expansive discussion yet by the GOP hopeful's campaign of his Mormon faith.
A senior Romney official who briefed reporters Friday morning said that among the representatives of the church who will be featured Thursday would be someone who followed him as the leader of the faith community and who would talk "about what it was like to fill Gov. Romney's shoes."
Others will be those who Romney "helped in different times of their lives," Romney campaign strategist Russ Schriefer said.
It's part of an evening in which the campaign plans to tell Romney's story "in a very complete way." It also will include more than a dozen Olympians, including 1980 U.S. men's hockey gold medalist Mike Eruzione, who lit the torch at the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Games that Romney ran.
Not mentioned on the call as part of the Thursday proceedings was Romney's business record, a part of his resume the Obama campaign has zeroed in on during the summer.

Please read this posting in its entirety before commenting because the ending is the culmination of my argument.
Their inventiveness towards the Mormon religion shows they are not willing, or at least, are in any way receptive to have them presented in the arena of public debate, which is still part of the rights package our founders created for us. Nobody is forcing anyone to believe them just as nobody should be forcing them to believe us. I could personally care less what they think of my salvation.
For those who profess intimate knowledge of the Mormon doctrines have not answered to my posts with anything other than opinion. I have yet to see any links to original and bonafide doctrine directly from the Mormon church as it exists today, so have at it and maybe, just maybe, some will have backed their opinions by something other than other opinions.
On the subject of opinions, I have heard the opinion of some baptists and evangelicals (some from the pulpit) that the "Holy Father" presides on his throne in heaven, not in a white robe on one made by man in Rome. Who is right and who is wrong? I afford those who believe and espouse in the latter as they do because it is their right to do so, period.
I could not agree more that Christians are being persecuted all over the world. But just in case you have not noticed, those persecutors (more specifically Islam) have no concern whether their target is Catholic, Mormon, Greek Orthodox, Baptist, Southern Baptist, Coptic, Lutheran, Presbyterian, and I can go on and on. If we divide ourselves at this point in time, we will accomplish on our own that the persecutors have so longed to do to us(self proclaimed Christians) without having the first drop of blood on their own hands.
We are in a global fight for our own existence in a much larger picture way. So let us think big picture and join our "Christian" fight against all of those who think it is their divine calling to destroy us. If we are to be destroyed, let us do it together fighting the forces of darkness and evil instead of each other.
You do know I was only referring to those who I had met RIGHT?
And the alleged conservative circular firing squad continues for yet another day unless you agree with 100% of a candidates view, religion, car they drive, horse they ride, food they eat, underwear...etc.
No wonder the liberals eat our lunch as they are nothing but a cobbled together group of 1 issue, tunnel visioned, individuals and as long as their 1 hot button issue, like killing babies, is allowed they will march in lock step right to communism’s door.
Keep it up and we will have 4 more years of introductory communism from the White House and all the comrades in the House and Senate.
I have no doubt the best outcome from the current RINOs will simply slow down our slide towards communism but I’ll take that to give us more time to elect more Tea Party conservatives in the House and Senate to restrain the almost unbridled power being issued from the White Hut in the form of illegal EOs which our spineless congress makes no attempt to address.

States have to separate from the union in order for the collapse of the federal leviathan and reorganization to occur.
Left unchecked, the Federal apparatchiks will milk every last dime from the populace, and then the government will collapse anyway, just like the USSR.

The homosexual marriage issue is just like slavery, and will be the next catalyst towards dissolution of the union.
Time to rebuild, move the Capitol out of Washington and rotate it amongst the states, limit the Franchise, impose term limits, and throw the communist states of the Northeast and far West out of the new Republic and let them reap what they have sewn.

You are correct when it comes to just the dems and GOP which are essentially a left and right wing of the government party, but we are making inroads at least into the GOP with the Tea Party.
While I would love to see the states separate from the unconstitutional federal government that was tried when fedzilla was much weaker and to do that now would be suicide.
We are now, thanks to public schools a split nation of communists and a mix of something else.
If via the Tea Party or some other party we can pull the GOP back to the right and make a real difference then there is a possibly to weaken fedzilla so a return to the Constitution may be possible. Right now it is not IMO as they are too well armed and the courts, media are too well infested with communists to make them act as any form of watchdog.

Islam doesn’t disguise itself as a Christian denomination. It comes right and says it’s goal is to destroy Christianity.
