“and that religion worships Jesus Christ as Savior “

He worships a created spirit being, the result of sex, who later came to get an earth body, but wasn’t god. Later, he became one of the 4 mormon earth gods - one of millions of mormon gods.

The Biblical Christ has always been God. Christians believe in one God.

Your knowledge is errant. All major Protestant denominations are Trinitarian.

Romney nor Obama belong to a Protestant ecclesiastical community.

Now is not a good time.
Maybe there's a religion thread somewhere that you can irritate?

Mea culpa. You are right. A quick glance at Wikipedia brushed away some of the cobwebs in the remote corners of my memory.

To my knowledge, the Holy Trinity is a Catholic thing.

I went to Catholic grade and high school and now have been an evangelical for years. Both Catholic and Protestant believe in the Trinity. Cults don’t.

I went looking for the answer to my own question. And while I didn’t find it. I did an informative article about the church that Obama attended. Apparently full Muslims are accepted as members without renouncing Islam or being baptised.

Obama’s Unique Form of ‘Christianity:’No Baptism Or Renunciation of Islam Required

~~ ~~ ~~

I wish I could find this humorous. Belief in the Trinity
and Baptism are both required. Islam is totally against
Christianity. Muslims tried to destroy the place where
Our Lord was crucified.

I noticed your tagline. Does your church teach that God is Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit?

I’ll say it again, doesn’t matter...

It is a FACT Obama is a Muslim. He spits on the Holy Trinity.

I would ask you, as Obama ever said or done a single thing that even hints at the hope of a dream of a chance of his considering a believe in Christ’s divinity or of the Holy Trinity.

He is an unabashed shameless radical Muslim. And that’s a fact.

I just learned that Mormons do not believe in the Trinity. I was told they believe in “three persons with one purpose”. So I said, “then you believe in three gods”. He answered, “well, I don’t like to use the word gods.”

But his answer was crystal clear. Jesus and the Holy Spirit are completely whole and separate entities from God the Father.

I never knew Mormons believed that.

“neither BHO or Romney believe” [in Trinity]

Not exactly true. They don’t believe in the traditional doctrine of the Trinity.

Romney believes he can become a god. Obama believes he already is a god.

I find it ironic this is being pointed out by a Catholic who doesn’t seem to have a problem with the deification of Mary.

“To my knowledge, the Holy Trinity is a Catholic thing.”

It’s a very basic belief of any Christian who believes the Bible.

The Trinity is most definitely a Catholic thing. The Nicene Creed is Catholic. The Apostles’ Creed is Catholic. The Athanasian Creed is most definitely Catholic. Orthodox Christianity is Catholic. Always has been. Always will be.

How do we know Obama doesn’t?

GG: Who’s Jesus to you?

OBAMA: Right. Jesus is a historical figure for me, and he’s also a bridge between God and man, in the Christian faith, and one that I think is powerful precisely because he serves as that means of us reaching something higher. And he’s also a wonderful teacher. I think it’s important for all of us, of whatever faith, to have teachers in the flesh and also teachers in history. http://blogs.cbn.com/thebrodyfile/archive/2008/06/03/2004-interview-obama-talks-about-jesus-heaven-and-sin.aspx

The Trinity is the central dogma of the Christian Faith. The Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, the Athanasian Creed, etc., all express the dogma of the Trinity.

It is not a “Catholic thing”! All Protestants who have remained Christians believe in the Trinity.

Sorry.

The Jews who followed Yah'shua
did not believe in three gods or a trinity.

That was a later Greek thing codified and
promulgated by the Roman "church"
with the development of Dogma in the form of creeds.

“Many Christians will become Mormon missionaries.

Unfortunately, for Romney to win the votes of Christians what will first happen, is that conservative writers, radio hosts, columnists, social conservative leaders, all of our talking heads, thinkers, and millions of rank and file conservatives and Christians will be drawn into the largest collection of, the most diverse collection of, the most creative collection of Mormon apologists, in history.

Mormonism will be daily rationalized, ways to smooth over Christian concerns will be thought of and delivered on the air waves, just as Hugh Hewitt and Michael Medved already do. LIMBAUGH and others will fall into a daily routine of countering and defeating Christian protests against Mormonism. New creative thoughts and reasoning will come from National Review, and Fox

The right will be sucked into becoming the foot soldiers of mainstreaming and rationalizing Mormonism.”

It’s scary to think about.

I can’t listen every day but one hopeful, Rush did say at the end of his program last Friday, Akin meant no exceptions to abortion, it isn’t the baby’s fault.

Now how does that fit with the Party platform and Romney’s
anti-life, anti-Christian, there ARE exceptions to abortion?

And does Romney think he is never going to be questioned on Mormonism?

It actually does. My impression was that the Catholic version involved essentially three deities. Let's just say that I was exposed to a lot of anti-Catholic material during my church-going days. (It's also been a while since I've looked into the subject, given that I'm a lapsed Protestant).
