Wisdom Cries Out...The DNC (All gods, but One)

Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?(Proverbs 1:20-22)

I believe that the Wisdom of God cries out to us through current events, though most just pass by paying no heed to what the Spirit is saying . Of course the Scriptures are full of the revealed Wisdom of God, and the clearest revelation of it is in Jesus Christ himself, but God speaks to us also through history also, especially current history.

Events at the Democratic Convention offers one such example. Keep in mind that this is a major political party with a large American constituency, and which consistently wins elections in the House, Senate and the White House.

Therefore when the fiasco at the convention, in which language referring to the Judeo-Chrstian God was removed from the Democratic official platform, the discerning know that God is speaking to this nation, holding up a huge, unflattering mirror. This is who you really are!

Of course the convention was consistent in a perverse way for not only did they remove the Judeo Christian God, but also language affirming Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Jerusalem is the “City of the great King”, the only city where God has placed his own name, as well as the city where Jesus was crucified. The Democratic party officially disavowed God and Jerusalem!

The unwitting parable continued, for when the more politically savvy among the Democrats realized the harm to the party brand, removing God from the plank would incur , they ham handedly “put God back into the platform, over the resounding boos and catcalls from the floor of the convention.

Delegates and members of the Democratic party booed after former Gov. Ted Strickland (D-OH) discussed God and moved to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Convention chairman Antonio Villaraigosa, mayor of Los Angeles, had to ask for the Yea and Nay vote several times before declaring the motion passed.

-SPAN cameras captured the dissatisfaction among members after the motion passed. More information from the Associated Press: Democrats have changed their convention platform to add a mention of God and declare that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.The move came after criticism from Republicans.Many in the audience booed after the convention chairman, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, ruled that the amendments had been approved despite the fact that a large group of delegates objected.He called for a vote three times before ruling.The party reinstated language from the 2008 platform that said “we need a government that stands up for the hopes, values and interests of working people and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential.”The platform also now includes what advisers said was Obama’s personal views on Jerusalem.

I‘m not saying the Democratic party should acknowledge God, after all they are the party of Abortion, and Gay Marriage, and have always been the more antagonistic to true faith of the two parties. But there was a day when you would have had to at least pretend to be pious (like the Republicans do to get the evangelical vote).

It’s not like the Democratic convention is against the idea of “gods”in general. There is a pretty good representation of various false gods getting their equal time at the DNC. Allah is certainly represented in the DNC sponsored “Jummah ” prayer meeting.

So also is Moloch, the ancient Canaanite idol, who demanded the sacrifice of live infants on his superheated arms. It should be noted that Obama, the titular head of the Democratic party, goes beyond a zealous defense of abortion, he passionately fought for the right of the state to starve the hapless infants who might have survived abortion attempts.This did not bother Obama’s constituency in the least!

The “goddess of reason” is there also. Remember her? She emerged in the attempt to de -Christianize France in the wake of the French Revolution. This prostitute taken off of the streets was enthroned as “goddess of reason” at Notre Dame Cathedral, in the mob’s attempt to sacrilege the sanctuary. The left has always been at war with God.

Sandra Fluke is the modern incarnation of the same idol. This democratic operative and 30-year-old professional student came to fame as the spokesperson for all who would force by law or fiat Roman Catholic universities to provide free birth control, and abortion to as part of their “healthcare plans”.

Bacchus and Apollo are at the DNC also, in the demand for the public preference for the unbridled passions of homosexuality, “gay marriage”, “Gay rights”, etc. There is not a state in the Union which has ever voted for “gay marriage”, every referendum has been voted down. But the Left has forced this depraved parody of God’s sacred institution upon us all.

And of course Caesar is there. The real philosophy of the left is Statism, the worship of Government. One of the speeches proclaimed that” the only thing all human beings are a part of, is Government”.When you turn your back on the only real God, you end up worshipping Government., looking to it for daily bread, health care, security, compassion, forgiveness, power, glory and the Kingdom! Caesar always ends up persecuting christians sooner or later, because He demands worship.

It seems that the spectacle we are seeing, of God(and Jerusalem) being disavowed by one of America’s major political parties, and a host of false gods flooding in to take His place ought to be a portent of something truly awful . There can be no vacuum. Jesus warned us in John chapter 5:43

I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive .,/i>

It is easy to see how many will be led to worship the AntiChrist! I would venture to say a good number of those in attendance at the DNC would swear that they are christians and are happy to be participating in “history”.

I am not saying the Republican party is flawless, but at least on paper, they resist the agenda of death, gay marriage, abortion, etc. The God of Mitt Romney isn’t the true God either, but there is no way at this point that the Republicans would disavow God at the convention.

America is in trouble and her problem isn’t merely political or financial. We have become enslaved to false gods, and a good portion of us prefer them to even so much as a mention of the real God! Only repentance and revival can bring this nation back from the abyss she looks into. God have mercy on us all, we would do well to listen to Lady Wisdom’s warning,

Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.

Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil (Proverbs 1:23-33)

If you've read the following on another thread, please skip, but we should remind all we come in contact with of the facts surrounding our founding principles, and these quotations deserve wide circulation in this critical moment in our history:

One wonders who is better qualified to understand the Constitution's position on matters relating to religious expressions in publicly supported facilities -- the Founders themselves or today's politicians, judges, pressure groups, and media spokesmen?

Example: Geo. Washington, First Inaugural, April 30, 1789:

". . . it would be peculiarly improper to omit in this first official act my fervent supplication to that Almighty Being who rules over the universe, who presides in the councils of nations, and whose providential aids can supply every human defect, that His benediction may consecrate to the liberties and happiness of the people of the United States a government instituted by themselves for these essential purposes. . . ."

Thanksgiving Proclamation, October 3, 1789: "Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly implore His protection and favor. . . ."

Thomas Jefferson, Second Inaugural:

"I shall need the favor of that Being in whose hands we are, Who led our forefathers, as Israel of old, from their native land, and planted them in a country flowing with all the necessaries and comforts of life; Who has covered our infancy with His providence, and our riper years with His wisdom and power; and to whose goodness I ask you to join with me in supplication, that He will so enlighten the minds of your servants, guide their councils, and prosper their measures, that whatsoever they do shall result in your good, and shall secure to you peace, friendship, and approbation of all nations."

In 1815, "We are not in a world ungoverned by the laws and the power of a Superior Agent. Our efforts are in His hand, and directed by it; and He will give them their effect in His own time."

Jefferson letter to Dr. Thomas Cooper, November 2, 1822, "In our village of Charlottesville, there is a good degree of religion, with a small spice only of fanaticism. We have four sects, but without either church or meeting-house. The courthouse is the common temple, one Sunday in the month to each. Here, Episcopalian and Presbyterian, Methodist and Baptist, meet together, join in hymning their Maker, listen with attention and devotion to each others' preachers, and all mix in society with perfect harmony. In our university you know there is no Professorship of Divinity. A handle (point) has been made of this, to disseminate an idea that this is an institution, not merely of no religion, but against all religion. Occasion was taken at the last meeting of the visitors, to bring forward an idea that might silence this calumny (malicious false charge). . . . In our annual report to the legislature, after stating the constitution reasons against a public establishment of any religious instruction, we suggest the expediency of encouraging the different religious sects to establish, each for itself, a professorship of their own tenets, on the confines of the university, so near as that their students may attend the lectures there, and have the free use of our library, and every other accommodation we can give them; preserving, however, their independence of us and of each other. . . and by bringing the sects together, and mixing them with the mass of other students, we shall soften their asperities, liberalize and neutralize their prejudices, and make the general religion a religion of peace, reason, and morality."

John Adams, 1789, soon after becoming Vice President: "We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

The Continental Congress, in 1777, assigned a special committee to consider the shortage of Bibles. The Committee report read: ". . . that the use of the Bible is so universal and its importance so great. . .the Committee recommend that Congress will order the Committee of Congress to import 20,000 Bibles from Holland, Scotland, or elsewhere, into the different parts of the States of the Union. Whereupon it was resolved accordingly to direct said Committee to import 20,000 copies of the Bible."

Of more interest, however, is the fact that in 1782 another need arose, and the U. S. Congress approved the first American printing of what is now known as the "Bible of the Revolution."

Prayers were offered in publicly-owned and operated facilities (including publicly-owned and operated schools) for the most of the first 150-200 years of our nation's history. Only in recent decades have those who would control the minds of citizens attached a truly mythical significance to Jefferson's unfortunate phrasing in his letter to the Danbury Baptists--phrasing clearly intended to signify a wall that protected religious freedom from government interference, not the other way around. Jefferson's life, expressed in both his official and unofficial acts, testifies to a vastly different view than that imposed by today's mind controllers who would, in all likelihood, ban his "village of Charlottesville" from allowing church services in the courthouse, and who certainly would not approve of President Jefferson's practice of attending worship service in the U. S. Capitol Building.

The prolific writings of the Founders and early Presidents, as well as signers of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, contain scores of assertions which defy today's claims that government has been delegated the right to exclude religious belief and practice from the public square. Such claims are nothing but the most cowardly brand of censorship.

As late as the mid-20th Century, an American hero, defender and lover of the nation's liberty, General and President Dwight D. Eisenhower, on signing law for inclusion of the words "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance, on June 14, 1954, stated: "From this day forward, the millions of our school children will daily proclaim in every city and town, every village and rural school house, the dedication of our nation and our people to the Almighty."

Almost a century before him, Abraham Lincoln asserted: "It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord."

1) "Is our nation better or worse off since the courts and the pressure groups have redefined the Constitution's First Amendment protections and the Founders' oft-stated insistence on a prohibition of government interference in matters of religion (that so-called Jeffersonian 'wall of separation')?"

2) "As citizens, do we possess more liberty or less liberty as a result of their (pressure groups and courts) imposition of censorship of religious expression from the public square over the past few decades?"

Ready internet access to the writings and speeches of the founding generation make ignorance of their principles of liberty inexcusable. Liberty for future generations--the liberty inherited by us as an undeserved gift from our wise ancestors of the 18th, 19th and early 20th Centuries, may depend on our willingness to confront these questions and to search out constitutional answers for ourselves from the original sources.

It frightens me when delegates of any political party decide to make the decision as to “recognize Deity” or not, aside from asking my acceptance or rejection of their thought pattern on this subject. I thought that America was a nation of “individual ruggedness and self-reliance”, each of us setting our own course, setting who we each decide to “place high on the mantelpiece in our heart and home, and worship”.

The DNC has decided, without any input from me, to disallow ANY setting of anything on that mantelpiece.

They have said “NO!” to God. It is true that each of, as Americans, do strive to settle the questions that we have in life, by asking of God. There is the argument between Catholics and Protestants, mostly of matters of procedure, I think, but still Americans, all. There is the argument between Christians and those that call themselves Pagans, yes, but still Americans, all. However, I cannot extend that blanket to the Mohammedans, for they do not want that blanket, “Americans all”.

For any political party to deny what has been a tenet, even part of the sacred documents of our national history, calls to mind the chronicles of another very old country that did the same thing, and what happened to them, not once, but three times, if I remember correctly. The remembrance of that story is enough for me, even with the religious stand that I, as a sovereign American take, to not have that story become OUR story.

Long Live The Republic!
