In a frequently misquoted line from the Life of Reason, George Santayana said: Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. Cultural amnesia, helpless or deliberate, does enable people to rewrite history without compunction, and it also makes it easy for others to believe the fiction as fact, or to suppose in a nunc pro tunc way that projects our assumptions onto the ways things were seen in the past. I should guess that most of our leaders in government today could not pass the qualifying examination in history as was required for a high school diploma in the State of New York at the beginning of the twentieth century. I cite the example of a speech of President Obama at the fourth annual Iftar dinner, a feast at the end of a day of Ramadan fasting, for assembled Muslims in the White House on August 10 in this year of 2012:
As Ive noted before, Thomas Jefferson once held a sunset dinner here with an envoy from Tunisiaperhaps the first Iftar at the White House, more than 200 years ago. And some of you, as you arrived tonight, may have seen our special display, courtesy of our friends at the Library of Congressthe Koran that belonged to Thomas Jefferson. And thats a reminder, along with the generations of patriotic Muslims in America, that Islamlike so many faithsis part of our national story.
The miscalculation about the role of Muslims in our nations history was mentioned previously in President Obamas speech in Cairo on June 4, 2009 in which he said he was speaking as a student of history. As the Arab Spring looks increasingly like an autumn headed for winter, it may go in the annals of presidential speeches as the one most tightly packed with.....

Libyan tragedy? Do they mean the murders in Libya?
Long read but a great article. Obama parses the Koran like a Muslim practicing taqqiyah.
The man is a Muslim. I would swear to it by every fiber of my being. He is a fraud, committing fraud, and doing everything he can to “make fast the fetters” on Americans by gutting the military, burdening us in unsustainable debt, and destroying the very fabric of what it means to be a self-sustaining American.
Interesting to point out, as well, is that while Obama is very private with his true intents, the Democrats are openly embracing Islam, some going so far as to implementing Shariah in the courts. It would behoove every Conservative American to point out to the maniacal feminists that by doing this very thing and supporting those who are pushing it, they are turning back a century of suffrage to doom women, by the courts, to being chattel.
I hope Sandra Fluke is paying attention... but I seriously doubt it.

I`m a bit rusty on my history....was that just before Lt. Presley O`Bannon had his meeting with them ...or just after.?
” - - - gutting the military, burdening us in unsustainable debt, and destroying the very fabric of what it means to be a self-sustaining American.”
A very good summary of Obamanation goals.
I saw a clip this week of Obama’s big first address abroad as prez—the one in Egypt where he broke precedent by carefully inviting the Muslim Brotherhood in to attend.
And I saw again the slow precision with which he said he was going to be “as honest” as he could be in speaking to them. I imagine one doesn’t use the phrase ‘dog whistle’ in Islam, but that’s exactly what it was for someone of his background and position speaking to them.

Like he parses the Constitution as a Harvard-schooled lawyer.
0bastard is not “miscalculating”. He’s on the other side - the Muz side, against the USA.
