Pray for Our American Heroes and Nation

Therefore the Lord will wait,
that He may be gracious to you;
And therefore He will be exalted,
That He may have mercy on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
Blessed are all those who wait for Him.
Isaiah 30:18

[Faith]

Holy and Mighty Lord,

You are the One Eternal God, the Alpha and Omega, the God of all creation. Blessed are those who wait for You, who trust in the truth of Your Word, who believe in the verity of Your Covenant. You are the everlasting Lord, the eternal God of the universe. How great are Your mercies toward those who fear You; toward those who trust in You, and toward those who know Your Name. May Your glory endure forever and may You rejoice in all Your works. Father, may Your Kingdom come upon this earth and Your will be done here as it is in heaven. And may Your beauty be upon us both now and evermore.

Truly the times are tumultuous, Lord; but though we are grieved at the state of this nation and world, yet You are the strength of our hearts and our portion forever. Our hearts cry out to You, Lord, on behalf of our country. God of justice, we cannot fight this battle without You, but with You, we know we shall have victory. Father, help us to repent as a nation for all our sins and for the ways our society has ignored Your teachings. We pray that those who know and love You would not join in the worldliness but would come away from the things of this world and seek those things that are of heaven above. Help us to be part of the solution and not part of the problem. We need Your strength and courage to do all that You have asked, and we know You will fully equip us. Anoint us to be mighty witnesses in this spiritually dry land, and may Your Spirit impart to us all that we need to serve You with honor.

Father, we ask Your supreme protection over our military men and women. Thank You for being their keeper, their shade at their right hand. Shield them from all evil as You protect each soul. Preserve their going out and their coming in from this time forth and even forevermore. Father, You alone know the extent of the dangers that are near them,. We trust in You to hide them under the shadow of Your wings until each calamity passes. Thank You, Father, for each one of our brave patriots. We ask You to reward them for their faithfulness to their country and their fellow man.

Help us to delight ourselves in You Lord, and cause us to ride on the high hills of the earth. May we be satisfied with Your goodness, for You have loved us with an everlasting love. May the Name of Jesus Christ be glorified both now and evermore. Blessed is the Name of the Lord. Amen.
