The Biblical and historical evidence shows that the Moabites worshiped Baal. The pre-Islamic and Muslim sources show (a) that the Meccans took over the idol Hubal from the Moabites and (b) that Allah and Hubal are actually identical. Thus, whether the Meccans are Ishmaelites or not, the evidence is still strong and sufficient to conclude that Muhammad's Allah is actually Hubal, i.e. the Baal of the Moabites and thus not the God of the Bible. Muhammad incorporated the characteristics and names of various other gods into his new monotheistic message about Allah, but he apparently started the construction of Allah with Hubal, the chief god of the Meccans....

Allah is the word for god. That is what it means, christians in the arab word use the word allah to say god. Its like a chinese person saying the chinese version of the word god.
On topic though it depends on the perspective. The Quran is filled with practically every character in the old and new testament, has more quotations from Moses than any other individual, and after him comes Jesus. I believe archangel Gabriel gave mohammed the book, or something of that sort. So from their perspective he is the same god and they view Islam as a successor to Judiasm and Christianity.
Obviously we do not and therefore see that they are wrong and denounce their “god”, in much the same way Jewish people denounce Christians claiming Jesus is not the Messiah.
In any case the bible is very heavily influenced from Paganism, but thats a whole other discussion.
They say they believe in the God of Abraham, but I am not so certain what is in their hearts.
There is no new Testament in the Koran.
I have read it.
They reject the new covenant.
Islam rejects Jesus and the Holy Spirit as a false Gods.
I don’t see either as Gods, but rather the grace of God.
I am a monotheist so I understand their take. What I don’t get is what they get so upset about that they find The Notion of Jesus being the Son of God, or that they are offended by the notion of the Holy Spirit in man.
At any rate after Sunday prayers my preacher never told me to kill and lop heads off in the name of God.
Islam is whack.
In America, after Church we have a dinner social.

I think its because they believe god is so great that he is beyond the realm of man, that it makes god look lesser if he has a son as any man can have a son.
Something like that; they see Jesus as a great prophet and the Virgin Mary as a symbol of purity but not as the son of God, which they feel lessens his greatness.
Thats my take on it, from my time in the Middle East.
Allah most likely comes from the word Enlil, a pagan god, and that explains why the name Allah can be feminized, and why the name Elohim cannot. Allah has Allat, as Enlil has Ninlil. The progression of the name can be traced. Not only the name was changed to al-ilah and eventually Allah, but there was a role change from sun god to moon god as Allah assumed his role as head of the Arab pantheon. It’s difficult staying up with the changing pagan gods and their roles, and Semitic mythology is the worst.
Mohammad in borrowing heavily from the Bible was the one who promoted the use of the name Allah as a generic term for God. No doubt it is used by many in the Mideast that way, but there is no association between Allah, the head of Mecca’s pantheon and Yahweh or Yeshua. Christians using the name Allah in reference to God are making a mistake perpetrated by Mohammad and centuries of Islamic oppression. Christians in the West should not buy into the falsehood that Allah represents God. It is very PC, and very incorrect.

I see a similarity in what you say here with what is going on with Obama. Let me explain.
Obama and the media do not want us going beneath the cover to discover his real origins. The country of his natural birth, the Communist Marshall Davis who mentored him as a young lad, his college days records, etc. The media, the Democrat party, want the lid kept on all this. They work to keep the masses dumbed down.
Same thing with Allah and it’s origins. Both are major cover ups. You have to look beneath the surface to find truth.
