Islam is not a religion in the accepted sense, nor is it simply a cult. It is an ideology based on the rudiments of governance of tribal people.

But the bulk of the population of this world is no longer simply clans or tribes. To the Muslim, the equation is simple - “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”, their basis for forming alliances, but conversely, it is VERY easy to suddenly “unfriend” another group, and reform the alliance with whomever USED to be the enemy. The Orwellian world of “1984” has always been a reality for these people, with heavily enforced strictures against “thought crimes”, a regular re-writing of history to suit the needs of the moment, a never-ending state of war against perceived rivals who shift almost moment to moment from enemy to ally back to enemy, and the need to inoculate everybody with an inpending sense of doom. The will of Allah seems to be expressed by lopping off somebody’s head, or bringing severe injuries or death to large groups of people by the simple expedient of sending in a suicide bomber.

It is like trying to domesticate or at least placate an animal in the later stages of rabies.

To my Islamic 'friends.' Here's how it works; it's simple. In this country we have freedom of religion and freedom of speech. It's worked fine for us for 250 years, and it's not going to change! The nations of the Middle East, who view any criticism of Islam as blasphemy and Islamophobia will NEVER progress to "first-world" status. As a Christian, I can allow others the freedom to accept or reject the tenets of the faith and it has NO bearing on my feelings about Christianity. To have such a visceral reaction to the thoughts of others about their faith demonstrates to me that they really have an insecurity about what they believe. Christianity spread to the entire world without having to resort to use of the sword or force. If those Muslims feel THAT strongly about never hearing a negative word about their religion and its founder, then they should STAY in their own countries and forget about immigrating to non-Islamic ones. They should be happy that other nations are not militant and allow freedom of religion and speech. Christians and Jews are not renown for being:

I would think Muslims who are NOT the militant kind would be happy to live in freedom, knowing that their very lives and those of their children are not threatened at every moment from the insane actions of others. I don't understand why radical Islamists would even want to live in a country that has these freedoms.
