The president dedicated Uganda to God to be his nation anchored on his principles and values.
The President, indicating that the next 50 years belong to the young generation, advised the young people to be God-fearing referring to the Biblical verse in Proverbs 9:10 which says, "The fear of God is beginning of wisdom."....The prayers were organized by Uganda Jubilee Network, an association of Anglican, evangelical and Pentecostal churches....
....Rev. Simon Peter Emiau said no matter how many times Ugandans pray, God will not intervene in the affairs of our country without fulfilling the conditions in 2chronicles 7:14 of repenting and turning away from wicked ways. Calling upon church leaders and Christians to repent, Apostle Charles Tumwine attributed the current high level of immorality in the country to the wickedness/darkness in the church arguing that what happens in a nation is usually a replica of the state of the church.
Wow, God needs to especially protect this guy.
Amen to that! I pray that our elected leaders do the same thing in the USA. Don’t snicker....it can happen! :)
My father left the Episcopal Church (along with most of the congregation...) and joined an Anglican Church, founded by ministers from Uganda. Now they are building a Cathedral! America's revival may yet come out of Africa! Best wishes and God bless them!

A wise man once said that a man who fears God shall gain wisdom and his wisdom shall endure. A man who has wisdom but does not fear God shall not endure and neither shall his wisdom.
I'd love to see a new president do exactly the same thing in January. The hissy fit howls from the ACLU would be music to my ears.

The cynical part of me is saying “yeah....riiiiiight”. But I think that’s because the idea of anything like this happening in my frame of reference, the west, is so completely preposterous. Can you imagine one of our top political “leaders” doing this?

This is great news! I have a close friend in Las Cruces, NM who is a retired PCA minister. He spent a lot of time in Uganda after they rid themselves of Amin and Obote (sp?). He told me that there was a large growing number of Believers who were reforming the country.
