Good comment. That's exactly what happens. Once you leave communion with Rome, you start to fragment. Your perfection (which caused you to leave) is suddenly considered imperfect by somebody else who considers himself more perfect, so he leaves...and thus the whole project unravels.

Meanwhile, Rome plods on, dragging the Cross.

I'm hoping Vatican II unravels along with all of its deleterious consequences as well as the modernists and progressivists who devilishly created this mess. Even if the Church were to return to the 1,000 year Mass or a hybrid you've still got a couple of generations of Catholics who act like giddy protestants expecting some kind of Facebook event every time they near the altar. Demeanor has to change on the part of both parishioners and the occasional ill-behaved cleric.
