Debate moderators and reporters love to ask pro-life candidates hard questions about abortion. Curiously, they don’t do the same for pro-choice candidates.

Here are 10 questions you never hear a pro-choice candidate asked by the media:

1. You say you support a woman’s right to make her own reproductive choices in regards to abortion and contraception. Are there any restrictions you would approve of?

2. In 2010, The Economist featured a cover story on “the war on girls” and the growth of “gendercide” in the world – abortion based solely on the sex of the baby. Does this phenomenon pose a problem for you or do you believe in the absolute right of a woman to terminate a pregnancy because the unborn fetus is female?

3. In many states, a teenager can have an abortion without her parents’ consent or knowledge but cannot get an aspirin from the school nurse without parental authorization. Do you support any restrictions or parental notification regarding abortion access for minors?

4. If you do not believe that human life begins at conception, when do you believe it begins? At what stage of development should an unborn child have human rights?

5. Currently, when genetic testing reveals an unborn child has Down Syndrome, most women choose to abort. How do you answer the charge that this phenomenon resembles the “eugenics” movement a century ago – the slow, but deliberate “weeding out” of those our society would deem “unfit” to live?

6. Do you believe an employer should be forced to violate his or her religious conscience by providing access to abortifacient drugs and contraception to employees?

7. Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King, Jr. has said that “abortion is the white supremacist’s best friend,” pointing to the fact that Black and Latinos represent 25% of our population but account for 59% of all abortions. How do you respond to the charge that the majority of abortion clinics are found in inner-city areas with large numbers of minorities?

8. You describe abortion as a “tragic choice.” If abortion is not morally objectionable, then why is it tragic? Does this mean there is something about abortion that is different than other standard surgical procedures?

9. Do you believe abortion should be legal once the unborn fetus is viable – able to survive outside the womb?

10. If a pregnant woman and her unborn child are murdered, do you believe the criminal should face two counts of murder and serve a harsher sentence?

Excellent questions, though a typical "yes" response to number 6 (concerning the violation of the religious conscience of employers forced to provide abortifacients) needs a snappy come-back, and with regards to question number 10, pro-abortionists could perfidiously refer to those passages of the Old Testament which explicitly regulate the penalties for killing of a woman who is pregnant, and whose "fruit" is animate ("stirring"), as differentiated from one whose "fruit" is not yet animate (the Old Testament invokes differing levels of harshness, depending upon how advanced the pregnancy is).

Maybe alveda should lose the tendency to inject false racism/genocide/supremacy into the mix. Then she'll see things as they really are. Ever listen to black/latino music, alveda? How about black/latino television? Ever spend time in Middle or High Schools and observe what goes on?

Unwed black/latino youngsters have more abortions because they get pregnant more, plain and simple. There's a higher rate of pregnancy because the b/l culture openly promotes frequent sexual activity very, very often.

It has nothing to do with the supposed ‘white supremacy’ which, by the way, is a very small part of the population, if they exist at all. Grow up.

An interesting notion there --- but where did you find it in the Bible?

As far as I remember (and I'm no expert) the only reference I see in the Books of Moses referring to assault or injury to the unborn, is in Exodus 21:21-24, where it says that if two men are fighting and one of them hits a woman and she miscarries, if the result is just a premature birth but no further injury, the assailant shall pay such penalty as the baby's father may demand; but if the woman or baby suffers further injury the penalty shall be an eye for an eye, a life for a life, etc.

Note three things:

• It makes no reference to the crime of a deliberate assault on the child, but rather an accidental trauma in the course of a brawl between two men. It seem reasonable the a deliberate assault on the child would be even more morally heinous.
• If the baby is delivered early but lives, there is still a penalty on the person who disrupted the pregnancy, to be determined by the baby's father.
• Even though the man didn't intend the premature expulsion of the child, if death results, it's life for life.

Where do you find your reference to different penalties based on different levels of prenatal develoment?

I'd like to look it up and study it.

Michael, two points:

First, Alveda King doesn't say that racism is the only problem. At no point does she say that cultural distortions within the black and latino communities (like casual promiscuous sex, and contempt for women) is not a problem. But you can't fault her for not laying out her total social meta-analysis every time she speaks.

Second, she's not saying the whole white society is racist. She's observing a continuities of racism at the top of the pro-depopulation elite: she often specificially refers to Planned Parenthood.

As you may know, PP was founded by a well-known in-your-face racial bigot named Margaret Sanger. It was Sanger who said

• "Eugenics is … the most adequate and thorough avenue to the solution of racial, political and social problems."
• "The campaign for birth control is not merely of eugenic value, but is practically identical with the final aims of eugenics."
• "[We must]...give dysgenic groups in our population their choice of segregation or sterilization."

(All the above quotes are from "The Eugenic Value of Birth Control Propaganda", October 1921)

It was Sanger, in a 1939 letter to Clarence Gamble, who enthused about her 'Negro Project' with these words:

• "We propose to hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. And we do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."

It was Sanger who courted German race-supremacists and eugenicists like Ernst Rudin to contribute to her "Birth Control Review" in the 1930's.

And even more pointedly, Sanger is a heroine to Planned Parenthood to this day. They give out awards at their annual gala Margaret Sanger fund-raising dinner. They further the aims of her propaganda. They wear Sanger T-shirts, march behind Sanger banners.

They locate 85% of their clinics (analyzed by census tract by Life Dynamics) in, or within easy walking distance of, neighborhoods with the largest Black and Latino populations.

Their allegiance is pretty damned clear.

I freely confess that I was writing from memory, and my memory appears to have served me very poorly here. As you have said, this passage of the Bible makes no distinction between the "animate" and "not yet animate" unborn. (Though many Biblical scholars do dispute whether this passage is referring to a miscarriage or merely a premature birth).

I agree with this is well. I think the current falderal in the news over Mourdock's contention of God's will whenever a child is conceived even in a rape is further proof that the anti-life forces have no understanding nor appreciation for the wonder of human life. God both "opens and shuts the womb" (Isaiah 66:9), so I agree with Mr. Mourdock about God's will EVEN in the case of rape. He isn't saying God wills the rape, but that if a pregnancy happens from it, it is God's will for it to happen. We have many wonderful people in this world who came from that beginning, and EVERY one has a right to life no matter how he or she was conceived.

I remember learning in biology class how intricate and precise the action of conception actually is and how tiny variants can make the difference in whether or not a pregnancy ever happens. As Scripture says, "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14) If more people were educated about the miracle of birth and the privilege we have been given by our Creator in that process, I think it would make a huge difference in the number of those who both think AND vote pro-life.

Ask Scott Peterson if an unborn child is a human to be protected exactly like anyone else.

He is currently serving two life sentences. First degree murder for killing his wife and first degree murder for killing of the unborn child in her womb.
