A North Texas congregation is reeling after an attacker rammed a car into a church wall, chased the pastor, and beat him to death with an electric guitar.
Police told reporters they didn't know why the unidentified suspect attacked Rev. Danny Kirk Sr., founding pastor of the Greater Sweethome MIssionary Baptist Church.
In a harrowing 911 call an unidentified church secretary said that some staff tried to fight him off but that Kirk was in desperate need of an ambulance.

Now that is a headline you don't see every day.

The Obama zombies are losing it.
The assailant himself was found unresponsive shortly after being taken into custody and was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
It was not a Mega Church. It was a podunk little church.
Somebody was on serious drugs.
Gibson or Fender?
Oh yeah.
Witnesses report that the guitar stayed in tune.
A better way to go at least than if it had been a banjo
Prayers.
Not to make light of this, but your post reminded me of a joke a Pastor once told me. There was a town with a prominent Baptist Church with a fairly robust evangelism team that would go out and invite people to the church.
The ministry was well familiar with "the town atheist" that enjoyed engaging with and debating the evangelism team whenever he could. "The town atheist" was fairly well known and the other churches in town had their own run ins with him.
Well anyway one day the church catches fire and while the firemen are there a crowd gathers. Lo and behold the Pastor sees "the town atheist" standing on the sidewalk. So he approaches and exclaims "so you finally decided to come to church?!"
The town atheist shrugs and says, "you never set it on fire before."
While I realize some people dislike so-called megachurches and not always without reason, this is not one. It is a majority black church with humble beginnings, that built a fairly traditional red brick church building. The congregation numbers in the hundreds. It is, I believe, a Missionary Baptist Church.
What’s the cut off for megachurch designation, anyway? A couple thoisand? Is this strictly applied to only nondenominational or Protestant churches, or can a Catholic Church be regarded as a megachurch due to the number of parishioners?
Just curious.
The car sustained a damaged Fender, according to the Marshall.
There is so much evil in this world.
It’s sad.
Many of these pastors open themselves to this sort of thing, but it is also sad when pastors turn people away from the Church.
The family of the killer indicated that this fellow want all there.
Heavy Metal.
Humor over the death of anyone, especially a man of God eludes me. But that is just me.
It was a small Church.
My bet is the pastor was bangin the perps wife/girlfriend/ho.
