A North Texas congregation is reeling after an attacker rammed a car into a church wall, chased the pastor, and beat him to death with an electric guitar.
Police told reporters they didn't know why the unidentified suspect attacked Rev. Danny Kirk Sr., founding pastor of the Greater Sweethome MIssionary Baptist Church.
In a harrowing 911 call an unidentified church secretary said that some staff tried to fight him off but that Kirk was in desperate need of an ambulance.

I’m guessing a Gibson Les Paul.
Couple of reasons:
Fenders use primarily single coil pickups, not nearly as dark a sound as the humbuckers employed on Gibsons.
Take a look at your run of the mill death metal band - no telecasters, maybe a strat or two, but primarily Les Pauls
Oh, and Les Pauls are heavy.
Now that is a headline you don’t see every day.

That's what I've been saying for at least seven years. If no one believed me then, why should anyone believe you now?
It sounds like his wife tired to get him help but the nervous hospital let him go. If you ask me it sounds like now the wife and the church have a medical malpractice lawsuit! I sure hope both parties investigate that hospital because there this could have been prevented.
