I did not know that. The way it was being reported it was as though the majority of them did. I am glad to know that was not the case. That will teach me to take anything the LSM says at face value.

Never forgot that the Left counts on and promulgates the type of divisiness among Christians on display in this thread. It makes their job all the easier.

You have a lot of loaded words and phrases here, inluding references to predatory priests, accusation and war with the Church. None of this applies here as I have done nor said any of these things. I have merely been sane in seeing a group of men who have been consistently indifferent to matters of faith for many years as what they are. I could say the same thing about politicians, which is what bishops in this nation have effectively become btw, as I have about the bishops and would also not be accusing any of them of some crime, calling them pedophiles or the like, or be at war with America. I would also not merely be cynical for doing this, nor for pointing out the error of those who naively choose to believe that all of a sudden 100% of those politicians have become altruistic and patriotic just because they voted for a bill which happened to save them money. We really should try to hear what other people say and take them at their word.
You “continue to be skeptical” and I’ll continue to do my best-—with God’s grace—to be filled with the theological virtues of Faith, Hope and Love...(the first 3 beads after the Our Father on my rosary).

Yes, because somebody who is skeptical about a group of people who have consistently proven to be unreliable regarding the gospel cannot possibly have faith, hope or love?

“Sure they’ll clash with Obama. Right. /s”

Oh no, they did clash...and Obama steamrolled over them. This election verifies what most Catholics have known for years - they are irrelevant in the public sphere (and they did it to themselves).

“The USCCB has been very vocal, and surprisingly united over the HHS mandate. Even the liberal bishops saw the light and every single bishop came out loudly against the mandate.”

They became very vocal and united when THEY had to pay for it; many of them were quite content to actually support ObamCare up to that point. When someone else was getting the bill, I certainly didn’t hear the theological arguments that came out when the Church was on the hook for the bill...

“My priests and Bishop were adamnat in the bulletins and sermons and paryers!! I was VERY happy”

My pastor did the same, after the implications for the churches; I was puzzled.

Cardinal Dolan said boldly (and it is looking clearer and clearer) that "my successor will die in prison... and his successor will die a martyr".

That was Cardinal George not Dolan.
