Interesting discussion yesterday with a variety of opinions. Just curious what some here might believe and why...

The Bible says God created the angels and Lucifer (Satan) was the most beautiful. He wasn’t satisfied with that and rebelled getting some angels to join him. He was cast to earth to do his dirty work and, after the Lord’s Day comes, he will be cast into hell.
You said in your heart, “I will ascend to heaven;
I will raise my throne above the stars of God;
I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,
on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain.
I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High.”
Sounds like he did at one time at least.
Now I think he just wants to thwart God in any way he can.
i think before the cross, i believe he actually thought he had a chance. after the cross, no way. he’s just trying to take as many of us down with him before his time runs out.

i don’t think so. satan has to ask permision of God to do certain things. you don’t ask permission from someone if you think you are more smart and powerful than they are.
It’s more of a case that he fears the hell fire and is doing everything to put off that fate for as long as possible.
He knows he can’t defeat God but wants to take as many as he can with him as he can. And all he can do is use deception so others will either lose their faith and/or prevent others from knowing the fullness of God.
His time is short and he knows it, so he’s in
‘how many can he seduce with a lie.’ mode FULL TIME. It’s in the airwaves, it’s in the laws evil imposes, it’s in the schools to get the children - it’s surrounding us.
Same sex marriage, baby killing, PC, ....the list is endless to what he’s been doing.
And when people speak out with elections - evil steals it. Make no mistake.
John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”
So anyone saying that God allowed it is wrong! God wants us to have a good abundant life but HE knew how people would give themselves over to be seduced by evil - so HE told us what HE knew - for It is Written.

satan was not crated evil. read the bible. he was made perfect and was the leader of the angelic worship, he was jeweled and above the throne of God, he led the musical chorus - his pipes are mnetioned. got too proud and thought he could plant his throne above God’s.
you have no idea what hell is about if you believe that.

I fit that description pretty well. Yet He keeps forgiving me and loving me. And that’s why I love Him back so much.
Satan knows Scripture, in case you’ve forgotten that he quoted Scripture during the temptation of Christ.
Thus, he knows that he loses in the end.
Satan’s objective is to win as many souls as possible.
God created Lucifer, not satan! God is the ONLY PERFECT one and Lucifer wanted the praise that was bestowed on God. So he used deception to get it with TWISTING GOD’S WORD. Nothing new under the sun.

PREACH IT. TOO many blame God for what satan does. How is that for deception straight from the pit. Shows how they don’t know GOD.
