To the author, sin, atonement for sins, forgiveness for sins and salvation via grace are apparently not important. He didn’t talk about Christ’s role as savior at all. He seems to think being a Christian means “being nice and accepting of all people” and little or nothing else.
Yeah, I caught that too. Christianity is not good works. It’s faith Christ’s salvation. Any good works result from that.

I have to agree with you. Christianity is a hard faith. based on the shedding of blood, atonement for sin, rejection of the followers because they rejected Christ. It is not always pretty, It is not always Rick Warrenish. It is a faith based on our leader, the Lord Jesus Christ who said that he came to put brother against brother. I sometimes wish it were prettier like an Oprah Winfrey show, But it is not. It is about propitiation, the wrath of an almighty God resting on his beloved Son because we are all so wicked and corrupted. Our only hope was found in a rickety little hay rack 2000 years ago.
The world has been teaching pretty much the same thing for years, and the fact that Jesus died on the cross as an atonement for our sins does not mean a thing to them.
The whole idea is to forgive those who sin, not have a party for them and kiss their butts in the process.
It is not my job to punish some one for sinning, but i would be doing them a great harm if i did not let them feel the pain that their irresponsibly have caused them.
Jesus forgave our sins but he did not take away the pain caused by them.
As far as sins against nature are concerned no one has to go to church to learn what they are so why try to get these people in church when their sin involves hatred toward God in the first place, like bringing a fox into a hen house.
