God bless and keep David Green.

GD arbitrary and capricious Justice Sotomayer.

It's a crying shame Mr. Green suit fell into her jurisdiction.

I went today, bought several pieces of fabric, told the checkout gal I was buying to support their defiance of 0bamacare, she thanked me. I did not even print a coupon from their website, as I normally would.

I doubt it fell into her jurisdiction. I would guess that was a deliberate act.

Our Constitution isn’t worth the paper it is printed on under the Obama administration, and the Democrat party is backing him up on it , and the Repubicans are crapping their pants in fear.

Have you heard one Republican politician speak out against Sebelious?

Good on ya! I’m going shortly. I didn’t realize I have one in my town until I checked the location finder on Hobby Lobby’s website. I’m looking forward to my first visit of many.

I always support Hobby Lobby. Next to Cabela’s, it’s my favorite store.

Here's the perverse corrupt thinking the Obama slobs are using to justify violating the constitutional rights of religious people:

CNS.NEWS In a legal argument formally presented in federal court in the case of Hobby Lobby v. Kathleen Sebelius, the Obama administration is claiming that the First Amendment—which expressly denies the government the authority to prohibit the “free exercise” of religion—nonetheless allows it to force Christians to directly violate their religious beliefs even on a matter that involves the life and death of innocent human beings.

… The Obama administration is making a two-fold argument for why it can force Christians to act against their faith in complying with the regulation it has issued under the Obamacare law that requires virtually all health care plans to cover, without co-pay, sterilizations, contraceptives, and abortion-inducing drugs.

-The first argument the administration makes against the owners of Hobby Lobby is that Americans lose their First Amendment right to freely exercise their religion when they form a corporation and engage in commerce. A person’s Christianity, the administration argues, cannot be carried out through activities he engages in through an incorporated business.

… The second argument the administration makes to justify forcing Christians to act against their faith is more sweeping. Here the administration argues it can force a person to act against his religion so long as the coercion is done under the authority of a law that is neutral and generally applicable—in other words, as long as the law was not written specifically to persecute Christians as Christians, the government can use that law to persecute Christians. Hobby Lobby is one of the few stores that carries the Krylon
Looking Glass Spray Paint needed to make those wonderful
antique mercury glass look-alike items.

Here's Krylon Looking Glass sprayed on clear glass items---lots of tutorials on-line.

====================================

NO STORES NEAR YOU? SHOP HOBBY LOBBY ONLINE

http://www.hobbylobby.com/home.cfm?market=yp

CRAFT NOTES Many spray paint products have been tried---silver, chrome. nickle---but Krylon Looking Glass does the trick to turn glass objects into mercury glass. Hard to find---but Hobby Lobby has it. Some crafters spray droplets of water inside the glass before spray painting----has that antique mottled look after it dries.

==========================================

Here's another mercury glass project. As you know---you can buy bushels of these silvery ornaments really cheap--- even cheaper at post-Christmas sales.

ANTIQUING GLASS CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS

MARTHASTEWART.COM...has this simple technique that lends new, shiny glass ornaments the muted, authentic appearance of antique mercury glass in. NOTE: As authentic mercury glass ages, it loses some of its luster and tends to darken in spots. DIY'ers will need a little paint and small sponges to get the effect.

Tools and Materials at Hobby Lobby---1 small tube of white gouache paint, 1 small tube of black gouache paint, 2 small natural sponges,Tissues

How-To

1. Place tea each white/black paint in separate bowls. Dilute with water droplets til consistency of heavy cream. 2. dab entire surface with sponge dipped in white gouache cream. 3. While still wet, use tissues to gently dab creating a mottled look. 4. W/ 2nd sponge, lightly and sparingly dab a few places with black gouache. 5. Use clean tissues to lighten and blur the black spots, creating the appearance of flaked mercury glass. 6. Let dry for at least 1 hour.

Apparently word didn't get out too well. I went to Hobby Lobby today, and the place wasn't busy at all.

I wish that I could communicate the following to Mr. Green. As I've posted in related threads, regardless that activist justices gave Obamacare the green light in 2012, justices wrongly ignored that previous generations of justices had clarified that the states have never delegated to Congress, via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate healthcare.

In fact, regardless that Justice Roberts referenced Gibbons v. Ogden in the Obamacare opinion, Justice Roberts seemingly ignored that Justice John Marshall had written the following in Gibbons. Justice Marshall had clarified, in a single sentence, the limits of Congress's Commerce Clause powers using health laws as an example; FDR's activist justices got the Commerce Clause wrong in Wickard v. Filburn.

"State inspection laws, health laws, and laws for regulating the internal commerce of a State, and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c. are not within the power granted to Congress (emphases added)." --Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
The next excerpt from Gibbons clarifies in general that Congress is prohibited from laying taxes in the name of state power issues, the previous excerpt having clarified that healthcare is a state power issue.
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." --Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
Justice Barbour later expanded Justice Marshall's "health laws" term.
"Inspection laws, quarantine laws, health laws of every description (emphasis added), as well as laws for regulating the internal commerce of a state and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c., are component parts of this mass." --Justice Barbour, New York v. Miln, 1837.
And ten years before Constitution-ignoring socialist FDR was first elected president, FDR eventually succeeding in nominating a majority of activist justices who would ultimately pervert the Commerce Clause in Congress's favor, Constitution-respecting justices had once again clarified that the states have never delegated to Congress, via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate healthcare.
“Direct control of medical practice in the states is obviously (emphasis added) beyond the power of Congress.” –Linder v. United States, 1925.
Sadly, here is a smoking gun that corrupt Congress is deliberately ignoring its Article V requirement to petition the states for constitutional amendments that would grant Congress new specific powers, such as the power to regulate, tax and spend for healthcare purposes. Noting that the language below has since been removed, the govtrack.us web site had indicated that Congress wrongly ignored a resolution, initiated by former Congressman Jessie Jackson Jr., to propose to the states for ratification a healthcare amendment to the Constitution.
"The resolution's title starts with "Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United." (-10%)" --H.J.Res. 30: Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States regarding the right …" --H.J. Res. 30.
Note that basically the only Section 8 power that Congress has for regulating anything in the states is for regulating postal services (Article I, Section 8, Clause 7). Most other federal programs, especially those established from the time of FDR, are based on wrongly usurped state powers.

Thanks for the reminder. I’d read, earlier in the week, about a Hobby Lobby day, similar to the Chick Fil A day, but wasn’t sure of the date. I’m gonna go order something online, since we don’t have a Hobby Lobby anywhere near here.

Suzi, see my post at 18. It’s so great you shopped online.

You wouldn’t believe this store! I went there for the first time today. It’s the kinda store that makes a woman’s heart race when you enter the place. You’d love it. I bought the greatest little tuscan style metal clip to hold my recipes.

While hammering it to my cabinet the nail went through into the other side with the nail sticking out into the next door cabinet. Whoops! I had to hammer the sharp side of the nail down (on the inside part) and it trashed the inside of my cabinet.

Every time I look at the inside of that cabinet and that splintered wood it will remind me of Obamacare, and how he has splintered our nation.

Every time I look at the lovely recipe holder on the outside of it, it will remind me of these wonderful Christian people and their convictions and it will inspire me!

(Plus it really is cute.:))
