I would suggest that you do more research on Constantine, the Arian Heresy and the council at Nicaea.

Constantine supported the Arian heretics, not the Catholic Church. He and his sons even attempted depose the Pope and Catholic Bishops and set up his own Arian puppet bishops in their place. In fact, Athanasias, was one of the Bishops exiled by him.

Like Ayn Rand observed prophetically, the individual is the smallest minority. OK Rashputin, I believe every word you posted in bold, but I’m not a Roman Catholic. But I suspect you will still believe that I am far from the fold.

Islam is for “peace.” But it is a peace which is defined to mean a state in which everyone is muslim.

Roman Catholics, at least apparently so, define unity only as meaning we are all Roman Catholics.

I am not a Roman Catholic, because I see the gospel of the New Testament as something much simpler than the massive hierarchy that has developed in that church.

Brother I am familiar with all you quote. I don’t deny anything taught in the Bible. I take offense and respond when what I have studied is called out as not being true. There are Christians on this site who insinuated I was a liar for my believe and I must conform to the “true” Christianity of Catholoism.

I can go to a beach not far from here that was used to slaughter 200 men who refused to convert. That is your history. This attitude has not changed among your brethren.

Roman Catholics are not the only Christians as the fact that many, many, churches recite the same identical creed every week and believe it as well attests.

I understand the innate resistance a lot of people have to a hierarchy but it's established in the New Testament and clearly so, unless someone sits down and reads the Scripture in a way that ignores the Apostles anointing some roles and just appointing others, making sure each new church had an anointed head and so on.

That isn't the issue although the majority of non-Catholics want to focus on that. The issue is whether Christ and Christ alone is in charge and we follow Him or we are in charge, filter what He says to suit our agenda, then claim to follow Him.

In fact, I heard Evangelicals and Fundamentalists preach for years that they would include as their Christian brothers anyone who believes in Salvation by Grace alone, through Faith alone, in Christ alone, but when Catholics say and spell out that exact same thing, Oh, well, then they can't be accepted as fellow Christians. Unity in Christ is focusing on Christ rather than the hierarchy or lack thereof and I dare say it's not Catholics who can't accept and welcome fellow Christians nearly as often as the reverse is true.
