Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Vengeance? WE are taught not to seek vengeance, to "turn the other cheek", to "rise above" and to forgive. Yet, The Almighty gives us this Name through the voice of the Psalmist David.Those of us who believe that all Scripture is Inspired struggle with this.

Like us, David was human, and like us, he suffered the indignation of false accusation. Even though he has a number of opportunities to wreak his OWN Vengeance against his tormentor, he stepped back from doing so, and cried out to God instead. King Saul eventually met an ignominious defeat and a horrible death, but it was not David's doing. In fact, David mourned for Saul, his enemy, lamenting, "How the Mighty Have Fallen!", giving us a wonderful expression in our own language. We never have to seek vengeance. It is not our job. The Father sees all, and the wicked will not escape justice. The Vengeance of God is a Terrible Thing to Behold, but it is not for us to take pleasure in it. Like David, we need to step back, let go, and let God Take Care of it. David fought the good fight, did not cower in the face of evil, and never gave up, but he did not take Personal Vengeance.

We pray for the Repentance, Restoration, and Renewal of Our Beloved Nation.

He is the God who avenges me, who subdues nations under me,

Come and Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Thank you Left for this post. Heavy hearts are surmountable right now in Israel and in America...I join you in prayer:

Revelation 6:10 They cried out with a loud voice, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”

Dear LORD GOD, this seems to be the cry of YOUR children even now. OH LORD, YOU have not left us ignorant, for YOU have shown us the end of all things in YOUR WORD...and how that will work out. We hear the nations rage, we see the enemies begin their strategic plans, we know that all that is left is the fulfillment of these prophecies, culminating in the mighty return and appearance of the KING OF KING and LORD of LORDS. Till then, YOU ask us to wait and pray and watch…which we who love YOU do. We pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. We pray for the salvation of many of YOUR people. We also pray for our America. We are told to pray for our leaders…OH LORD, here is where the difficulty lies … for on one hand we need to pray for wisdom and discernment in governing our country, but on the other hand we may desire to pray for judgment on those who are against YOU, against Righteousness, against YOUR PEOPLE. I know I find it very difficult to pray for our President, to my own sorry confession, for I feel he is as hard hearted as many whom YOUR WORD has revealed to us. But who am I to judge...OH LORD, we are before YOU today asking for MERCY. MERCY on YOUR PEOPLE, MERCY on OUR NATION, MERCY on our MILITARY who are sacrificing more and more each day at the hand of our own government. OH LORD, hear the cries of YOUR CHILDREN here and in Israel…in JESUS PRECIOUS and ALMIGHTY NAME…Amen.
