Pigeon Forge, TN -

A pastor said he cast out a demon, but a lawsuit contends the only the plaintiff's tooth was exorcised.

According to The Mountain Press, Andrew Byrd filed a $3.7 million lawsuit against the Family Chapel Church of God in Pigeon Forge; pastor Joel Arwood; Arwood's wife, Theresa Arwood; and Charles Shields.

Byrd said the Arwoods asked to meet him last February at the church, where Teresa Arwood said he had a demon in him. Byrd said Joel Arwood and Shields jumped him, knocking out a tooth crown and cracking other teeth.

Either the pastor should have...
1. not tried to exorcise spiritual demons by physical assault, or
2. preached a really good sermon on 1Cor.6 1-11 (about not filing law suits against your neighbors)

Meanwhile, no doubt the plaintiffs have found another church?

Sometimes casting out a demon can be worth a tooth or two. Still, the pertinent question is how many teeth did he have to begin with?

The cleric had some relics but when asked by visitors he shouted, “YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TOOTH!!!”

He should have attended a Tridentine Mass instead. It would have exorcised his demons and freshened his breath at the same time...
