Go join the Episcopal church...they are for everything progressive...no struggle, just love for everybody. If you don’t like the doctrine of the church you are in...change churches. People get politics (that change with the latest hockey stick idea) mixed up with doctrine...that does not change. And if you change the doctrine, you no longer have what it stood for. The Episcopal church changed its doctrine and became something else. I left...the nuns should do the same. Their progressive ideas would fit right into the “modernized doctrine” of the Episcopal “church.” There is already a home for them, they would be welcome there. And for those who believe strongly in and understand Catholic doctrine, they would be WELCOME TO LEAVE. Win/win.

Time for them to shape up or Ship out.

Get back in the habits and obey the tenets of the Church or get a job and go out to the Lesbian bars on their own time.

My aunt was a nun for 60 years and a communist. Told us all that what we worked so hard for should be sold and given to the poor.

I've known a few of these elderly communist nuns myself. I noticed a common pattern in their behavior and attitude. I think it derives from their very early experiences as young nuns back in the 60s.

Before the hippy-dippy "spirit of Vatican II" days, most of these nuns wound up teaching elementary school. As a result, when they are challenged on their beliefs, they fall back on treating the challenger like a 3rd grader.

That "holier than thou" [wink] attitude also meshes quite well with a communist thought process, whereby only the "anointed" ones (George Orwell's pigs) have the intellectual capacity to grasp things, while we "3rd graders" are too simple-minded to know better. Hence, their condescending manner of speaking to anyone who dares to challenge their ideology.

Couple that with the fact that they live in the ultimate thought bubble (a nunnery), and you have a toxic level of communistic zeitgeist.

"Why is that part brought up? It could very well be a peaceful and warm spring."

Seeing radicals getting worried about losing their easy gig that supports their radicalism brought that up.

It got me thinking about how a lot of other people will soon be wondering the same thing as cities and counties start going bankrupt and there are no trillions to bail them out. That will put a lot of people who thought they were permanently insulated from reality face to face with the new 28hr work week, jobs without any benefits, and extremely high unempolyment.

King Barry has emotional irons in the fire, not just political ones.

King Barry has a lot of irons in the fire.
He can't win on all of them.
If he can't win them all he's just another President, not King Barry.
When he loses even one, his narcicism will go wild and he'll want to spend a LOT more money.
He doesn't control of both Houses of Congress so he can't act like an aloof professor.
If he can't act aloof and say it's up to the nobility to work out the details, he'll revert to type.
When he reverts, no more Herr Professor, he becomes, Brother Barry, the Co Moo Mity Organizer !!
With extremely high unemloyment, plenty of folks have lots of time on their hands.
Barry will literally weep over how he can't do what FDR did all because of Congress.
He will cry, the House won't budge, it'll be just like when LBJ promised and Congress balked.
Barry will wave his little hands, stomp his little feet, and a lot of idle rabble will react accordingly.
His fellow Co moo mity organizers will use the same tactics that intimidated Congress back then.
Under LBJ there were jobs aplenty in most places, so, those with jobs grumbled and went along.
Most normally productive folks are already in a jam, they can't work more, grumble, and go along.
Therefore reaction to the same sort of co moo mity action may well be much different this time around.

So, it could be a very interesting Spring.

I sincerly hope you're right, though, a nice calm spring would be great.
