Our Church Has A New Minister From Iran:

Posted on 03/25/2013 11:11:34 AM PDT by Vinylly

About a month ago our church hired a new minister. He and his family were recently moslums but have been converted to the christian faith. The church denomination was able to get him and his family out of Iran. His real job with the church is to take charge of church finances however he is perhaps the most articulate minister to the faith I ever heard. His young teen-age daughter has just organized a website that collects money to help backward countries find clean water. This last Sunday he reported on his mission trip to Turkey. Just in a month he was able to convert 50 new muslums in Istanbul to the christian faith. Let me tell you, I don't know where or how the church found this man and his family but we need to find more like him, -every church needs more like him. God and his messingers, like this man, is our greatist hope for peace in the middle east, -not governmant nor their machines of death will ever do it.

Good for you! Our congregation last year took in a family of new Christians who fled the Somali community in Milwaukee. Seem the ever-tolerant muslims wanted to kill them for leaving their ‘religion of peace’.

The quality of the Christian is often dependent upon the high amount of persecution.

In the 70’s, I knew a born again Christian guy from Iran. I don’t think I ever met a man as dedicated to Jesus Christ, as this man. He was dynamic.

I know people will hate me for saying this: I question the wisdom of ordaining a man to the ministry who only a short time ago was a practicing Moslem. He may well be a born again Christian with the love of Christ in his heart. And he may have maturity and skills that are needed by the church.

But the pattern of the New Testament church is to test a man and his faith before placing him in a position of Spiritual authority over God's people.

...or their money.

Not a particularly well written piece.

Hello righttack....I for one completely agree and grateful you have raised this issue... No one should hate you for speaking up, rather commend you, as we are called to do so when there is enough evidence to put on a caution light, if not a red light.

What we do know of Muslims who ‘genuinely’ convert to Christianity is... it can easily take years before a Muslim can undo the lifelong , and intense, brainwashing they are subject to from infancy throughout their life... So it is a mistake to put them in positions of authority so quickly for most....

I am also thoroughly convinced Muslim converts need to first have a strong understanding of what their conversion is about and good understanding of the basic doctrines of Christianity... That does require far more time then one who converts without this indoctrination..... and undoing of the doctrines and teachings of the Koran etc.. is not so easy of a task. ...

Much of what many Muslims choose to see is a correlation and similarity between the Bible and the Koran...which the two, in truth, are diametrically opposed. They may use the similar verbiage as the Bible but the meaning is something different in the Muslim mindset.

Additionally, we do know the Islamic Agenda for the Islamification of the US is 'Stealth Jihad' which includes 'infiltrating our churches' equally as much as our government.. They have positioned their people to do just that, and trained them well how to masquerade as a Christian.

People would be wise to give much time and observation with Muslim converts before 'staging' them in positions of authority within the church....unfortunately, as with Hollywood conversions, the Christian community too often enjoys waving the flag of converts of this nature.

So ‘righttackle’ you are to be commended for cautioning...I agree with you .

“The quality of the Christian is often dependent upon the high amount of persecution.”

Boy, do I agree with this.
