Some gay activists and pundits are gushing over this “new” tone, as if the post-Vatican II Church hadn’t already tried it. Why should the bishops think a doctrinally vague irenicism will be any more successful now than it was in the 1970s? All it terminates in is a shrunken Church and a world confirmed in its errors. Just look at the empty nunneries, once full of self-consciously trendy sisters who now don’t even bother to recruit.
Truly an unfortunate headline.
Homosexual behavior is sinful, according to classic Christianity and Judaism.
Drunkenness is, too.
Thievery as well.
Now look, those who REPENT and STOP their sinful behavior ought to be welcomed as fellow believers. Those who do NOT repent and stop their behavior—that is, do not make a concerted effort to turn around—are not part of the Christian community.
As always, following Jesus’ example, we are to love the sinner but hate the sin.
The problem is going to be much more cumbersome when the secular world is going to try and FORCE people of faith to celebrate and acknowledge sodomy.
This is one reason why we have to resist the intrusion of the state upon the freedom of religion.

When one considers that these trial balloons are being floated up by these two cardinals just as the new pope takes the reins, it’s clear that they’re looking for a response, or a lack thereof, from Rome, and at this point, expect Pope Francis to endorse their evil deeds by failing to act against them.
Sadly, I think the odds are much better than even that they’ve guessed right, and that Pope Francis is just as soft on the homosexual agenda, and abortion, and all the other pathologies of the left, as they are.
They all talk a good game, but it’s no wonder so many Catholics have wandered off into Satan’s wood, as lay Catholics look not at what the bishops SAY but at what they DO, or rather, FAIL TO DO.
We should pray that God would send us real shepherds rather than this gang of hired hands.

How sad. But, of course, these bishops and priests place their own souls in mortal jeopardy by cleverly misleading homosexuals into believing that their activity is “almost” okay, but just not quite right––at least not yet. As a result, these poor gay-oriented souls will die and face the real truth, the Eternal Truth, without ever having had the benefit of at least being told just how terribly sinful and offensive homosexual acts are against God. But the, so-called, “shepherds” who are “leading these little ones astray”, will find as promised by Jesus Christ, that their actions will most assuredly lead them both to “fall into the pit”...crosier,mitre and all.
