Let’s not forget interpreting scripture mentions of sobriety to mean that alcohol must be banned, or the oft-misquoted “unequally yolked” bit to oppose mixed race marriage.
He days he's talked to three different Bishops about it over the years and they all said about the same thing, that the Second Amendment and the Church both recognize the right of people to own firearms of all sorts and no controls should infringe that right. If that really is the opinion most of them have, I sure wish they'd spell it out clearly and make the point that they recognize the right go own the means to defend yourself instead of looking like they'd go along with all sorts of restriction.
Um, that should be, “He says”, not “He days”. Jeez, arthritis sucks some days worse than others.
btw, in case it didn’t come out correctly, thank you very much for your kind words. This Pope is truly sent to us by God. I humbly ask that you pray for him and for us Catholics and indeed for all us Christians that we stay the path of Christ.
Will do. Thank you as well.
Sectarian/denominational/political strife weakens and divides the body of Christ. Let’s focus on our agreements and dismiss our differences.
God’s blessings on you and yours.
I have the same feelings; this is one good man. I do not like all the “living and breathing” interpretations of our Bible any more than our Constitution.
