Where's the anger by Christians in America? (vanity)

Posted on 04/19/2013 9:12:03 PM PDT by Faith Presses On

I'm just wondering.

The left tweets and they get free contraception and an apology from Rush Limbaugh. There's a long trial of a cold-blooded abortionist and which gets no national coverage, and the media gets away with it. "Gay marriage" goes before the Supreme Court, and most of the right is silent about it, if not supportive of homosexual "marriage rights." (And I'll note that it particularly troubles me as I lived for awhile in that lifestyle when a young adult.) Everywhere you turn around those who reject Christianity are making gains in their agendas, and Christians might complain here or there, but the activism doesn't seem to be there.

Republicans have rolled over to Obama again and again and again, starting during the 2008 election. He (or his speechwriters) obviously reference Palin's "what's the difference between a pitbull and a hockey mom" line with his "lipstick on a pig" remark a few days later, and McCain backs down on it while Obama incredibly accuses Republicans of not being offended by what was said but just trying to score political points. Letting an opposition candidate impugn your character, especially when it isn't true, most definitely hurts you. Giving Obama the uncontested moral high ground, which he constantly uses to chide and rebuke his opponents, is most definitely wrong.

Then, for another example, Republicans let Obama say that Fox News really isn't news. Given how the rest of the media reports, and that Fox is important to so many regular Republicans, it was irresponsible of Republican politicians not to react with unified outrage to that. And if Republicans don't react with outrage over basic things like that, they can't express outrage at more important things.

Obama is even openly treated as a demigod by the media. One newscaster called his speech in Boston yesterday, "part sermon." Today Scott Pelley repeatedly called hiss remark to the bombers that "we will find you and bring you to justice" a "prophecy" that "came true just hours later." An ABC reporter also talked about the remark in the same way, like Obama was a prophet. Since Christian leaders and Republicans really don't stand up to him and hold their ground, the press seems to feel they can treat him like a god, or messiah.

Watching Obama bring up the victims of the Texas fertilizer plant explosion during his remarks on the marathon bomber capture, telling them they're in the country's thoughts and prayers and won't be forgotten either, it showed he's better at being "genuine" than so many Christian leaders. He's more committed to his side (and its agenda) than the Christian leaders seem to be to their side. Those remarks also reminded me of the "Cambridge police incident." Obama has become more politically skilled since he was saying "we can all agree the Cambridge police behaved stupidly."

So has the church in America just given up now, and will let Obama be the country's "moral authority"?

Christian leaders have all swallowed the *nice* pill. Sometimes, I would like to wipe those insipid smiles off their faces.

huh? we’re out here, working, within our moral code, against the left, and I certainly get angry (look at Boston and all the innocents needlessly attacked because our government won’t secure the border), but our Lord doesn’t let me stay angry. I don’t think holding a grudge doesn’t do much to advance conservatism or help you with God.

many of us are working, in small ways or big as Jesus allows and inspires us to. Just as our Founders did.

In keeping with this trend, we also learned today that the leaders of the Boy Scouts of America have decided to surrender to the homosexual mafia.

The bible has something to say about this silence of the church...

RIGHT before the tribulation.

However, thats fairly subjective.... a better sign is needed yes?

Between 2014 and 2015, there will be a total of 4 blood-red moons with a solar eclipse between #2 and #3.
Now... if that is not rare enough for you, consider the fact that each of these events will fall on Jewish holidays.

This has only happened twice before in recorded history.

Both times a major prophetical event concerning Israel was fulfilled.

Short of the Tribulation period, there are NO prophecies left to be fulfilled.

Get ready.

If they think kowtowing to homos works wait until they get pulled into court over more negligence cases than can shake a stick at where homosexuals scout leaders are molesting their scouts

I don’t think many realize that Christianity is dying in America. Oh the polls show that most Americans are Christian, but that means nothing. It’s Christianity by convenience and family tradition.

If Christianity doesn’t fight (and I don’t see it anywhere) it will die.

Or — where are the Muslim leaders who will stand and condemn the atrocities that shed a poor light on their faith?

I was thinking it was that “turn the other cheek” thing, but I like your wording better.

We’re adults dealing with child like utopian dreamers.

We stand around watching reality slap them around from to time while we work to keep food on the table, even if they are idiots.

I get more disgusted than angry - the attacks are not on me but on the One who saved me; He can handle the anger better than we and His wrath will prevail.

I think most Christians are in denial at what is happening in our society. They can’t believe that their government is actively complicit with the forces of evil and their fellow travellers in the media, entertainment and Academia, in going to war with Christianity and trying to tear down every moral principle that was founded in Judaism and Christianity. Ironically, they are doing this while simultaneously appeasing muslims who actually would do all of the horrific things that the left falsely accuses Christians of wanting to do. Most Christians will not wake up until it’s too late and their churches are being shut down.

During all the announcements during news conferences on Friday night, from all parties involved in the apprehension of the bombing suspect. I did not hear one official, mayor, police, FBI, etc, not one say Thank God. No one thanked God.

I didn’t mean all Christians. But the worse things get, the less that seems to be said and done about it. The Bible does say that things will get bad like this, and there’s doesn’t seem to be any stopping it, but we’re also told to expose evil anyway.

Living in NY state like I do, it is pretty much dead here. NY is very close to Europe. But even if it dies out like this throughout the U.S., it is still going strong in many places in the world, praise the Lord.
