Televangelist Benny Hinn has asked supporters of his ministry for $2.5 million in donations, which he says an anonymous donor will match dollar by dollar to help him get out of debt.
"God wants your ministry to be completely out of debt, and I want to plant an anointed seed that will help you take a giant step toward becoming totally debt-free!" says the anonymous man, whom Hinn calls a "long-time and beloved" friend.
"God has laid it on my heart to plant a seed of $2.5 million into your ministry, but God only wants me to make this gift if the ministry partners match the amount within 90 days! I feel so strongly that He wants them to be part of the supernatural wealth transfer that is coming to every believer who will obey God's Word," the man reportedly adds.
..The preacher has been criticized for using his ministry's money to buy a private jet and luxury cars, but the exact state of his finances has been kept under wraps.
Earlier in April, Hinn led a large service in Trinidad and Tobago where the minister apparently asked the thousands in attendance to each give a $100 donation to help pay for the two-day event
The Texas televangelist has built his ministry around the idea that if people help the Christian Church, including his own, by offering financial support, then God will reward them and even double their fortunes.
"Imagine not dreading going to the mailbox, no bills piling up on your counter, and no calls from collectors coming to your home. God wants to wipe your debt out! Every bit of it ... and in the next 90 days!" Hinn says on his website.

What ever happened to Robert Tilton (cut from the same “cloth”)?
Benny Hinn is a crook. I can remember back in the 90s another one of these crooks Roberts Liardon got caught with another man, and resigned in disgrace but now operates in the UK. Named after Oral Roberts- with a name like liar - what do you expect.
The idea that the creator of the universe needs old people’s money is hilarious.
The idea that it needs to be laundered through the wallets of televangelists is beyond absurd.
Only sad, frightened people can believe such rubbish.
I’ve always felt that woman might be hot if she wasn’t so filled with shyster craziness.
That is one strange woman. For some reason, she imitates black dialect & accent when she speaks.
“Texas televangelist my big toe, he sounds like he came from India - land where stupid religions are born” Or Calipornia(too many to list) or New Yawk(LDS).
A special place in Hell for charlatans like Hinn.
Kris Kristofferson wrote it. Janis made it hit.

you are thinking of the song me and bobby mcgee, not mercedes benz, which was written by Janis, Bob Neuwirth and Michael McClure.
I stand corrected
The Catholic’s church wealth is ok but Hinn’s isn’t?
Double standards much.
I don’t see the Pope spreading the churches wealth around.
I find the Pope’s focus on the poor disturbing as Jesus came to save everyone not just the poor.
Double standards much.

Apples and Oranges much.
Benny Hinn’s wealth is his and his alone. The Pope does not own the Sistine Chapel (read: he can’t sell it to the hightest bidder).
Amen! Wonderful post!
The book was marvelous and I recommended it to many at the time. It was truly life changing and I agree it would be an experience to reread it...see if the message is still as powerful knowing what has happened to the author since the publishing.
....’What happened to his mansions, yacht and private jet?..
is that where the debt came from?”....
Nah....he wants to get new ones.
...You mean like the Dinner in Washington of late...where Politicians and Actors celebrated they raised 100,000 in scholarships for jounalists, but it costs ‘milllions’ to throw the event and the parties after?
Bump
