I -hate- Rimadyl but the vet I trust with my dogs’ lives totally said that it was necessary if she had a head injury and gave us the smallest useful dose possible.

Rimadyl killed one of my dogs and he knows how much I despise it but said this time, use it.

Normally, he doesn’t even suggest it.

Most dogs have zero reaction to it, but like any medication, some can have adverse reactions to something and others can have zero side effects..with our dog, he had bleeding, it was scary..thankfully they figured it out right away otherwise it could have been deadly for him. I guess it depends on the injury..did they do an MRI or XRAY to confirm if it was indeed a head injury? With Maxie since he tweaked his back the Vet said an xray would have been a total waste of time
