The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals has denied asylum to a Christian family that came to America to homeschool their children.
As previously reported, Uwe and Hannelore Romeike fled to the United States in 2008 after German authorities demanded that they stop homeschooling their six children. Homeschooling was made illegal in the country in 1938 under the dictatorship of Adolph Hitler, and the law has never been repealed.......

Ironically, the law that the German family fled was a 1935 Nazi-era law that, for some reason, was never repealed after the war.

Here’s an idea-— how about a conservative governor (Tx Rick Perry) to grant some sort of special resident status to this family. Then if the Feds want to deport them let them come and get them—(a la Elian Gonzalez, Miami). Rick Perry should do it and dare the Feds—call their bluff.

I like it. Does Perry have the nerve, though? I’m still waiting for him and the governor of Oklahoma to tell the EPA to freep themselves and open the Texahoma Petroleum Republic.
Shameful. Someone should sponsor them so they can stay.
