Senior members of the Church of Scotland voted Monday to let some congregations choose ministers who are in same-sex relationships — an important compromise that must still pass further hurdles before it can become church law.
The church's General Assembly backed a motion affirming a traditional conservative view on homosexuality, but permitted liberal congregations to ordain openly gay men or women if they wish.
The assembly's vote would require the approval of next year's General Assembly as well as votes by the church's regional presbyteries to become law. The process is complicated, and is expected to take at least two years.
Monday's decision came after a lengthy debate on the issue, which has divided the church of about 400,000 members for years. Two congregations have split from the church over the issue.

Forget John Knox. The Lord Jesus got to be steaming about this. Anyhow, it would be great if clergy were gay in the original sense, before homosexuals hijacked the word.

The Catholic Church has NEVER ALLOWED AVOWED HOMOSEXUALS in the clergy. Has their been many who have lied like hell and said they had no strong homosexual tendencies and could remain celibate. Of course. They lied and should be kicked out of the priesthood if caught engaging in these perverted sex acts. There is no room for homosexuals in any clergy. They can not control their sexual and the vast majority prey on young teenage boys. They are morally corrupt.

Since I left the USSA, I have had exposure only to the
RC church from central Europe to the Philippines.
My child was baptized in the RC church here.
True. Closeted homosexuals invaded the priesthood. I didn’t mean to imply this perversion was known and accepted, but clearly, it occurred, just as it does in every organization that has a high population of normal young males. This is what male homosexuals seek on every front they access. They are in our schools now, offering their deviance to kids as young as 6 years of age on up. These perverts should be monitored, not married, and never should they be allowed to be alone with kids.
I think Knox is actually praising God in Heaven right now but I agree with the point you’re making. This current “church”’s connection to Knox is in name only.
