Mending Vatican Ties: Al-Azhar Wants Pope to Declare Islam Peaceful

I would love for the Pope to say something like “I cannot declare another person as anything. They declare themselves through their actions. We are all known by our fruits.”

"Francis is a new pope. We are expecting a step forward from him. If in one of his addresses he were to declare that Islam is a peaceful religion, that Muslims are not looking for war or violence, that would be progress in itself," he said.

Yeah, that’s right restore ties and get more of the same. Moslems are like the trouble making next door neighbor who just wants to get her foot in the door so that she can cause mischief. Keep them as far away as possible.
