Syrian Christians are asking why the United States supports extremists who want to turn Syria into an Islamic state.
That testimony came during a congressional hearing on Syria's religious minorities Tuesday.
Rep. Chris Smith, R-N.J., who chairs the House Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health and Human Rights, called on President Barack Obama to defend the rights of Syrian Christians.
In an opening statement at Tuesday's hearing, Smith said statistics show "that Christians are even more fearful for their lives and safety than other segments of the Syrian population."
Nina Shea, director of the Hudson Institute's Center for Religious Freedom, testified that Islamic insurgents are targeting Christians for "ethno-religious cleansing."

That's a distinction without a difference since the effects are functionally identical to America being at war with them as far as the people targeted by Barry's Mooze Lame pals can tell.
True, there's no "paid for by USA tax dollars" stamp on the small arms and small arms ammunition, but when Barry starts giving the rabid packs of animals roving the country and beheading people US air support the way he gave them air support in Libya, will the planes have US markings or special "Barry Corpse" markings?
The man acts in our name as long as he's President. It's not like they see massive demonstrations against Barry or Barry's war on Christians the way they see massive demonstrations against the government in Egypt, like those that took place in Europe when countries threw out the Communists, or even when millions of Frenchmen were in the streets against the marrying of queers to one another.
All they see is business as usual and media talking heads supporting Mooze Lames as "freedom fighters", demonstrations celebrating queers marrying one another, and talking heads talking the great victor queers won. No one here is staging mass demonstrations against what Barry is up to and that's what the rest of the world understands. Conservatives still haven't learned what the democrat fascists had learned by the seventies, that what the world media sees in the streets is what the rest of the world believes, not what they read, and not what the talking heads have to say.
Barry and his crowd idolize people who gemerate mob violence and insurrection to further their fascist ideal. Until they see an equal and opposite reaction they won't beleive anyone is really opposed to them. People speaking out against them are just representatives of factions, not really representatives of anything widespread, that's how they think. They see everything way the third regimes and populations see things, not the way Americans in general see things and have seen things for generations. For them, there are no checks and balances, there are only the weak and the strong and the strong can put potentially violent mobs in the streets to get what they want.

For some reason I have a gut felling fall may be the time when we could very well see major tea party or tea party like protests that are organized, like what we are seeing now in Egypt or very close against Obama. Time will tell.

Folks forget that Americans ARE ARMED to the teeth, including Christians, unlike their Syrian Christian counterparts.
Thanks for reminding people that the GOProgressives play a part in it as well. Headline after headline is “Obama” but he has his enablers within the GOP.
People want to keep blaming Obama, but the GOProgressives are both encouraging and funding it.
Plus it is the GOPe who is driving the conservatives OUT of the GOP.
What are the differences between Obama being a precursor and the real deal for the anti-Christ?
As long as we continue to trudge out to the polls, holding our noses to vote for them, they’ll continue to do so.
