Oswald Chambers!
I love Oswald! I had the everyday book in the eighties. I have it in storage. This is just wonderful. He was a great Christian.
I read them and would miss them if they were gone.
You can take me off your list for Oswald Chambers; I can go to it myself. I am not on the Osteen list
Thank you for posting these each day; you are the reason I read Chambers and I got my brother started reading him, too. You do good work.
I read Oswald Chambers' My Utmost for His Highest every day for shoot, almost 20 years. His writings helped me immensely.
Joel helped change my thinking from negative to positive. I actually renounced negative thing becasue of Joel. And I admire his character as a good example for myself.
But over the last few years, I've encountered Joseph Prince whose message of grace and the centrality of Jesus has revolutionized my life and set me free. Although I do like and read Joel's devotionals, but I can probably let it go lieu of the devotionals I'm now getting from Joseph Prince.
Thanks again for your faithfulness.
I appreciate your efforts at raising the level of discourse here at FR, but we need Chambers far more than Osteen.
The Chambers thread would be dearly missed. The other....not so much.
You can skip Osteen. I never read his stuff.
I am willing to post the Chambers thread, if you would like, with this caveat: I live on the edge of the jungle in Papua, Indonesia. Sometimes, I don’t have internet service or electricity. It isn’t often, but there you are.
If someone else with more reliable service volunteers, go with them. I am a last-case volunteer.
I will miss Oswald.Never listened or read the other. Never will.
Congratulation on the new job. Thanks for faithfully posting these. I love the Oswald Chambers post and would miss it if it went away.
Just wanted to thank you for posting the Oswald Chambers... I have really enjoyed reading them.
I don’t read these threads anymore. I do appreciate you efforts over the years.
I thoroughly enjoy Oswald CHambers every morning. I used to comment but lately have done more of the reading only.
I apologize for not responding more.
Add me to those who would sorely miss this thread....
Polly
Let the Osteen posts die.
I read the Chambers post nearly every day. I so appreciate the availability and your devotion to the this.
I am still trying to figure out why someone who posts threads about Oswald Chambers would also posts threads about Joel Osteen.
I always read them when logos posted them, he posted them for years and I enjoyed them.
I am not a member of this caucus so you might want to have my comment pulled.
Vision, congratulations! I’m so happy for you.
I appreciate the Chambers threads very much....and Vision, never underestimate the positive effects that the Chambers thread and this ministry may have had on those who read them. (I can’t speak to the Osteen ones, I don’t read those) I’d wager that many have found solace, comfort and perhaps even been encouraged toward salvation because of reading Oswald Chambers. I have no doubt that your posts have helped others and that glorifies Jesus.
I cannot make the commitment to a daily thread posting, I understand your dilemma with the new job. Whatever happens, I just want to thank you once again, for being so faithful with these posts.
Do people care if these threads go away? (I'm just curious about the demand.)
You've worked on these daily threads for 7 years. That's more than anyone here could ask. To demand more from you now--knowing that you're starting a new job--would be very selfish of us.
I can receive daily messages from any ministry I choose through Facebook, and I can read them in peace there, without having to endure comments from FR's peanut gallery. I much prefer that.
But whatever you choose to do, know that the work and prayer you've invested in these threads is greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten--especially by our Father in Heaven. God bless you, Vision. And thank you.
