Mary was the Immaculate Conception. Born without Original Sin. Not Jesus. He was born Divine. And I don’t want to hear different from people on who to Close Cover Before Striking Illinois based “Theology” schools.

Mary was the Immaculate Conception.

Shouldn't that read: "Mary was the product of the Immaculate Conception"?

Regards,

As was St. Anne born sinless, to carry the sinless Mary. And Anne’s mother was ALSO sinless, to carry Anne’s sinlessness, as was HER mother before her, and her mother before her, and on down the line to the very beginning, when all of Mary’s female ancestors were born without sin to carry each of their successive sinless mothers, to carry THEIR successive sinless mothers, until Mary.

They didn’t even need Jesus’ redemption, since only SOME of the human race was born sinless!

That’s where that foolish logic leads.

Really? Okay, cite me paragraph and verse of either or both Old and New Testaments (Imprimatur or protestant or Hebrew canonical) prophecy or direct statement that supports this position.

chirp chirp chirp....

“Hail Mary,(Hello, Mary) “Full of grace” (grace- a free gift), “Blessed among women” (Blessed-favored, by one bestowing a benefit on a beneficiary) certainly does not mean w/o sin, natural or purposeful in any sense of the meaning of the greek words.

In fact, there is no Biblical support for such a statement.

If Mary indeed was sinless, then she is not in need of a Savior, she is like God. Jesus the Christ, Immanuel, the Only Begotten Son of God, in fact, would be extraneous to the lost condition of man if there was another way...

This woman, was chosen by God, was over shadowed (as in made to conceive) by the Holy Spirit and was the Husband of one Joseph, mother of several natural sons, so says the New Testament, any version, even your Duay edition.

If “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and “there is none righteous, no not one” is true, then Mary is not was not and could never be “w/o sin, original or purposeful. For Mary to be born w/o sin, so would her parents, so says the Bible.

Jesus, on the other hand, was given the flesh of mankind, through the genetic material of Mary’s ovum (so He could be legally called “son of David), but was and always was the Word of God, made Flesh (In the beginning was the Word, and the was with God and the Word was God, created all things and the Word was made flesh.... (John 1 paraphrase)

“I and my Father are one, no man comes to the Father but by me” applied to Mary too.

Ask God to send His Holy Spirit to guide you in your studies, take no opinion of man for granted, accept only the context and content of the Bible for your proof.

Accept what you find in the breathe of the One who wrote it.....

Best;

I am more inclined to believe the bible’s outright declaration that ‘There is none Righteous, no not one’ and ‘All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God’ and also ‘All We like sheep have gone astray’ than any cult or denominations contradictory viewpoint.

Even the prophet who declared ‘woe is me for I am an unclean man with unclean lips’ was made clean by having the burning coal pressed against his lips.

The doctrine of ‘Original Sin’ is valid when we realize that everyone has within themselves a ‘sin nature’ and NO ONE’ is exempt from that anymore than anyone is exempt from the nature and effect of their own DNA which is inherited from their parents.

Christ has two titles by which he is commonly referred by, Son of Man and Son of God. The bible declares that even blasphemy against the ‘Son of Man’ can be forgiven but blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

Christ’s nature as the son of man is different than His nature as the Son of God which is the exact same nature as the Holy Spirit. The first title refers to his fleshly body while the second title refers to his Spirit which is Holy.

Even Abraham who is the source of the covenant which God used to guarantee His blessings upon the Jews and the world through Abraham’s future descendent Jesus was not without original sin, The bible states that by his faith (Abraham’s) he was DECLARED righteous. That Righteous standing was due to a judgment or declaration by God and not due to Abraham being born without ‘Original Sin’ or being sinless.

As long as I am on the subject and I am going to be flamed I may as well mention some other thoughts that give me concern such as some trying to have Mary named ‘Co-redemptrix’ with Christ when the bible states that ‘there is ONE mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus.

The bibles outright declaration of Christ’s singular position of authority should put to rest of all thought of praying to various ‘patron saints’ to have them put one’s requests before the father.
