True, those Boomers really don’t seem to get it. Sin has consequences.
There is no accountability, or at least that’s what they want to think. Unfortunately, accountability doesn’t rely on them believing in it. It simply IS.
Where, pray tell, do you get “boomers” our of “this generation”?
Good question.
I'm a Boomer and I DO understand the consequences of sin. Lots of Boomers do. At least, my friends, almost all Boomers, understand the consequences of sin. Why wouldn't we? MOST Boomers were NOT hippies. I loathed them!
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom...”
The word “Fear” can also be translated as “Reverance”.
So, those who revere the LORD have the beginning of wisdom.
Well, Slick Willy was a Boomer. You might want to get in touch with him. Or maybe not I hear he likes that sort of thing.
Sure, some boomers were and are decent folks. But many of them have promoted gay marriage, divorce, contraception, “If it feels good, do it” is the generational motto.
It’s about time that boomers stepped up to the plate as adults.
If the shoe fits...
Nothing to worry about, no heaven, no hell.
No devil, no God.
Just free will and science to be our guides, and there's nothing we can't figure out or handle.
Slick trick by the master deceiver and he and we are running out of time.
That is, unfortunately, true of some boomers, but the article is about not getting/acknowledging/comprehending hell and this applies much more to the younger generations. I see it all the time. They (young people) think hell is no more real than a Hollywood set. Boy will they be surprised.
Unfortunately all generations are laden with non believers of hell. America, the nation of missionaries to the world, has lost it way.

The term "reverence" is kind of squishy to define, and smacks of religiosity. Here's a much better definition:
The fear of the Lord is displaying a dread of disappointing or disobeying Him.
That is quantifiable, using the measures of conduct given in both Old and New Testaments. It is suggested that one memorize and meditate on these words, and live them. And these also, of the positive side:
"Blessed is every one that feareth The LORD, that walketh in His Ways" (Psalm 128:1).
Profound.
I once heard it said that all errors in doctrine stem from a low estimation of Christ. The less we contemplate the cross, where He died, the just for the unjust, where He bore our sins in His own body on the tree, where He endured sufferings at the hands of man, but, far greater, where He bore the wrath of God in our stead (where He was once in the bosom of the Father, He now cries, “My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken Me?!)—the more thoughts of His sufferings enter into our thinking (physical sufferings, yes, but spiritual sufferings, as well), the more we can see God’s righteous judgment for sin (OUR sin), and the more we realize our unworthiness of His grace that saves to the uttermost (plucking us as brands from Hell).
Failure to comprehend Hell is the spirit of man saying, I’m not so bad...oh, the cross? Yeah, that was a rough day for Christ, wasn’t it?
Where once America sent more missionaries into the world, She has now become one of the world’s greatest mission fields.
Indeed. People(especially those living in our era) think they’re fundamentally good and that if there is a hell, “only really bad people like Hitler go there”. Ignorance of Biblical teaching is overwhelming.
I'm a pre-millienialist, don't doubt that.
But I've often wondered if the phrase, “If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand” is a metaphor, not for an actual mark, but for our thoughts and actions?
For example, if we go along with unjust actions, even approve of them in order to be PC, or to win the approval of those that hate the Lord.
Anyway, I would appreciate any comments, and hope this doesn't hijack the thread.
