A shame to see this by Archbold in the authentically Catholic Register.
"In fairness, I must note that there might be one small problem with my analysis. So small I hesitate to even bring it up. Every quote above is from Pope Benedict. Every one."
Good article. LOL
I agree, They are twisting his words and their meaning.
However he does seem a bit Naïve to me and has not learned yet that he must think before speaking as every word out of his mouth will be taken at it’s lowest meaning.
He is new to this Pope game, didn’t want it in the first place, right now he is being tested.
“It is true that the Muslim world is not totally mistaken when it reproaches the West of Christian tradition of moral decadence and the manipulation of human life.”
I can’t disagree with this one.
Very cool. I love them both.
You forgot his disclaimer.

The authority of the pope is nonexistent.
The Pope directly succeeds Jesus Christ as the leader of the Church. Are you saying that Jesus Christ had no authority? Just wondering.............
Just his being from Argentina told me that he was liberal.
Capitalism as envisioned by our Founders required self-regulation rooted in morality, generally based in religion.
It was never about flat-out absolute selfishness and greed.
How is that statement encouraging homosexuality? It's encouraging neighborly love ... exactly what Jesus taught. That does not mean condoning or encouraging sinful behavior, however. No one should be victims of violent malice in speech or action. Let's just think about the parable of the Good Samaritan for example.
The Pope is the successor of Peter not Jesus Himself. Jesus anointed Peter the first leader of His church on earth with the words: "And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."
Vicar of Christ (Latin Vicarius Christi). A title of the pope implying his supreme and universal primacy, both of honour and of jurisdiction, over the Church of Christ. It is founded on the words of the Divine Shepherd to St. Peter: "Feed my lambs. . . . Feed my sheep" (John 21:16-17), by which He constituted the Prince of the Apostles guardian of His entire flock in His own place, thus making him His Vicar and fulfilling the promise made in Matthew 16:18-19. In the course of the ages other vicarial designations have been used for the pope, as Vicar of St. Peter and even Vicar of the Apostolic See (Pope Gelasius, I, Ep. vi), but the title Vicar of Christ is more expressive of his supreme headship of the Church on earth, which he bears in virtue of the commission of Christ and with vicarial power derived from Him. Thus, Innocent III appeals for his power to remove bishops to the fact that he is Vicar of Christ (cap. "Inter corporalia", 2, "De trans. ep."). He also declares that Christ has given such power only to His Vicar Peter and his successors (cap. "Quanto", 3, ibid.), and states that it is the Roman Pontiff who is "the successor of Peter and the Vicar of Jesus Christ" (cap. "Licet", 4, ibid.). The title Vicar of God used for the pope by Nicholas III (c. "Fundamenta ejus", 17, "De elect.", in 6) is employed as an equivalent for Vicar of Christ.
” The Pope directly succeeds Jesus Christ as the leader of the Church.”
No, not really. The Holy Father is Christ’s vicar, not His successor.
In addition it clearly states that Yah'shua is not the Elohim of creation. The Ecclesia was started in Deuteronomy 4:10.
Interesting statement. shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
Based on Eisgesis and faulty reading of the WORD of G-d.
10 Remember the day you stood before YHvH Seek the face of YHvH in His WORD.
your God at Horeb,
when YHvH said to me,
Assemble the people to Me,
that I may let them hear My words
so they may learn to fear Me all the days
they live on the earth,
and that they may teach their children.
In addition it clearly states that Yah'shua is not the Elohim of creation.

Lol! Great post, Alex. And good catch, Servant.
Corrected as usual.
On the other hand would you say that Peter directly succeded Jesus Christ as the leader of the Church.
